Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

Frank, I wonder where did you take all the lowdown on Polish history from?

From some Prussian, Nazi, chauvinist Muscovite, or Zionist propaganda? :)

But let's analyse your posting bit by bit.

Re: 'Polish history.......is quite frankly a bit of a nightmare.' - Why exactly 'a nightmare'? What if it has only been presented as 'a nightmare' by Polonophobic pseudo-historians and propagandists?

Re: 'most it appears...to be self inflicted, from its grandeur of the 1500/1600s to a relatively poor, politically inept country of modern times.' - Do you mean that the historical calamities that befell Poland in the past were largely the work of Poles themselves? If so, give evidence it was the case. What if in reality it was Poland's aggressive neighbours, Russians and Germans, who, in cahouts with each other, invaded and partitioned the Polish state, and made sure it could not become strong again? And what if their 'historians' then vilified the defeated Poland, and historians from other countries, such as, maybe, yours, Frank, consciously or not, repeated those slurs? Aren't you blaming the victim and whitewashing the bully, Frank?

Re: 'It continually made poor decisions, bad judgements and ended up either on the wrong side or backed losers in recent centuries.' - Any facts to back these claims? For instance, what 'losers' did Poland allegedly back in the last century? Would you mean the British and Americans? If so, why would they be 'losers'? After all, they won both world wars, and Americans became the strongest (although not the greatest) power on earth, having taking advantage of the temporary weakness of the great British Empire. So, Frank?

Re: 'it appears to have learn nothing at all, judging by recent pronouncements' - Any facts to back this? What exactly was Poland supposed to have learned that, according to you, she hasn't? What specific 'recent pronouncements' do you base your judgement on? Do you have anything against the present Polish government, Frank? If yes, then what exactly would that be?

Re: 'and its government will continue in this vein for the forseeable future' - What exactlly 'vein' will the Polish government 'continue' in in the 'forseeable future,' Frank? And how do you know it will? Are you some kind of fortune teller? :)

Re: 'Poland is only relatively homogenous, not by choice but as result of the most horrendous war in history......no other reason.' - And what do you mean by that? Do you mean that we don't have so-called 'minorities'? If so, you'd mean untruth, because we have them in abundance: Germans, Vietnamese, Ukrainians (very impudent and aggressive), Belorussians, Lithuanians, scores of Jews (yes, Jews), Tatars, Russians, Armenians (the best of them all), Kashubs, Silesians....

These are facts, Frank.

But I wouldn't call so the data on which you have based your opinions on Poland.

Wanna prove me wrong? :)

Giles writes: 'But I doubt it [Poland - P.] will have the old colonial immigration that the Uk or other Western states have, because it doesn't have the historical precedents.'

You're wrong, giles. Poland has an ancient 'multicultural' tradition of this kind. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwelath, which was finally destroyed by Russiansd and Germans in the 18 th century, included a thousand and one nations: Poles, Germans, Ruthenians, Jews, Armenians, Tatars, French, Dutch, Scots, etc. There were some English too, e.g. the sect of the Arians (called in Polish 'Bracia Polscy,' the Polish Brothers).

You don't know Polish history too well, do you?

Read e.g. Norman Davies. 'God's Playground. A History of Poland.' Columbia University Press, 1982. It's a little perfunctory stuff, but full of essential facts, and extremely well-written.

Cheers.

Law / Want to start Indian cafe in Poland.. [71]

Rahuldpawar, ah, Gdansk. Yes, you could make good money there with your Indian teahouse. It's a busy tourist spot. Good luck - powodzenia! :) PS. Maybe you don't know it, but one of our greatest Polish political scientists is from India - Mr. Peter Raina. A genius. Cheers.

Boobeck, can you prove I'm actually all those things you claim I am? Can you give even one single piece of evidence?

So far you've used mostly smilies and name-calling to comment on my postings.

It's a fact, as well as it's a fact that you're crude.

Who's the real dimwit here?

Law / Want to start Indian cafe in Poland.. [71]

Miernada, my question if English tea is that bad was rhetorical (know what the word means?). Boobie seems to have suggested he's English, hence my shock at his laughing at somebody who admits he likes English tea best. The more so because he seemed to indicate he liked not only English tea but also English food (for me, a Pole, one of the best foods I've ever had).

My suspicion is that even if he indeed were born English, he may be a degenerate amongst his (great) countrymen.

I love English tea. The English have been the greatest masters in preparing tea mixes. Nobody will ever take this from them.

Just as nobody will ever make as great perfumes and sweets as they make.

Prove that the English learned making those tea mixes from the Indians. If as you say they did learn it, why can't I hit upon an Indian tea that would be even half as excellent as any English tey? You're indeed a thoughtless rustic wench from canofbeerada.:)

Palekatkin, yup, it may be a good idea to purchase it in England; it may cost you less than in Poland. But if you're going take a 'big bag' on the plane, I hope it's not Ryanair (the $hittiest airline on earth). Those bastards allow you to carry over only up to 15 kg (roughly 30 lb.) of luggage, and even if the weight is right may still demand that you throw away some stuff. Have a nice trip with lots of 'tumeric' to sniff on. :)

Boobski, you're so crude! Who gives damn about your bodily fragrances? Yuch, what a degenerate!!! I think I'm gonna puke!!! God!!! :)

Daffy, I admire your profound knowledge. Ah, what a grand expert you are on where tea cometh from. Great thanks, Daff, for enlightening me in this respect. Without you, I would have trudged in the dark till the day of doom and longer. I'm now so :) :) :) ! Hare Krishna, hare, hare! Oi, what a bliss! :)

Meow, Palekatkin. Yes, you can get tumeric powder in Poland. Try e.g. Carrefour (hope the spelling is correct).

Oops, so 'English tea' isn't actually English, e.g. English breakfast tea? Why do you call it English then? Lying?! :)

Boob, maybe yer from Britain, but you seem to me a little tiny degenerate. alas, there are also such in Britain. :( :)

Titty-Boobie, so you're laughing at me because I like English tea? And you're English?! Is English tea that bad?! If I remember right you did some saliva-drippin' at the mere mention of it. Did you just pretend, Boobber? :( :)

Do you suggest that your sending everybody 'the eastern path' has caused that 'nobody is talking anymore'? If yes, would you explain what you mean? Hm, and do you, bruno, practice a lot?

Polonia / Germans: Do Poles like them or dislike them? [217]

Daffy, has any one here said he didn't like all Gerries and Muscovites? Conversely, talk to those two nations and ask them what they feel towards us, Poles. By the way, I sort of like Russki literature, even though it's often Polonophobic hate propaganda (except late Tolstoy). It's far superior to German literature - yes, far superior (but not to English one). Their greatest perhaps scribbler - whose Anglicized last name is 'Dostoyevsky' - was of Polish origin (Dostojewski), but a naughty-naughty Polonophobe. Which is not that strange. For instance, Joyce has scribbled (in A Portrait of the Artist) one of the worst anti-Irish slurs I've ever read (nad I've read a lot, e.g. in Milton).

What green s..t would that be? I'm afraid I'm out of touch here :(

Forgot to mention English apple pies - heavenly! And English breakfast - those fried sausages, bacon, tomato, beans, eggs... And English Tea. Screw any other food !:)

Hm, why don't you guys rephrase the question. Why don't put it as follows:

Do the Germans like or dislike the Poles, and why?

What do you think?

Polonia / Germans: Do Poles like them or dislike them? [217]

Sedzia re: 'Do you also hate russians? They have caused poland even more pain [than the krauts - P.]'

They deserve each other. The Russkies are causing us pain also now - re: the unreasonable ban on Polish meat products for which the (pro-Russki ) hacks in Europe have been blaming us, in spite of the fact that EU experts haven't found anything wrong with our meat; the German-Russki Baltic oil pipe; the rage at our willingness to have the Yank state of the art defense system on our territory.

But these non-Polish guys on this forum, such as daffy, hm, don't seem to want to understand our position between the Russkies and Krauts. It's because if they tried to really understand it, empathise with us, then it would ruin their cozy, self-satisfied view of the world, particularly Europe. They are happy, so why the hell should they care about the Poles and the Polish worries, especially when the press in their countries points at the Poles as those who should be blamed for the tension between Muscovia and EU? Right, daffy? :)

Witek, and I love the English food - fish and chips, and beef, fish, and chicken pies, and Cornwall pasties, and those meat pies with a boiled egg inside, and their wonderful cream pies. :) And, witek, if I were you, I would not vent on all the English your anger at one idiot coming to this forum, hinting that he (or she) is English, and insulting the Poles. How do you know he (or she) is really English? I would say he (or she) actually isn't - the English just do not seem to talk like him (her). God bless the English (and their delicious food) ! :)

Daffy, prove that I allegedly 'hate all things german apparantly' (sic). :)

Mbti, I think daffy is a nice sensitive European kid, but at times a little insufficiently, or wrongly, informed, and a bit too firmly holding onto his convictions. ( It's not my intention to patronize daffy; my opinion about him is based on facts.) Well, I'll do what I can to put him on the right track.

:) :)

Marek, any evidence that Jews 'were called into Poland as elsewhere in medaeval Europe and used for their busienss skills ass barganing chips' (sic)? Any evidence that the fact that Jews didn't interact with the Poles wasn't the result of the Jews' 'own choosing'? Finally, any evidence that it's the Catholic Church that should be blamed for the Jewish 'clannishness and suspicion' (sic), because the Catholic Church, allegedly, did not allow Jews to live and practice the professions of Christians'?

By the way, the Jewish author Gross, whom you seem to value highly, appears to be a charlatan and Zionist propagandist, rather than a serious historian. (By education, Gross isn't an historian, but a sociologist.) Even the Jewish famous author Norman Finkelstein seems to see Gross in such a light. Gross seems to be another Jewish Polonophobic hate-monger, working for the Holocaust Industry. :) :)

Life / CAN NON-POLISH UNDERSTAND POLAND? [17]

Daffy and Dannyboy, oi, what condescension in you towards Poland and the Poles. It saddens me to read your statements. - Dannyboy, the Polish President's last name spells 'Kaczynski,' not 'kaczinski.' He's never said: 'A) Homosexuals are a threat to the existence of the human race

B) Polish people who work in Ireland or the UK are 'Feckless' or 'Born Losers''

Never-ever has he made those remarks. (The hacks, first in England, took his words out of context and repeated in a misrepresented form.)

So if, according to you, all the Irish and English press has reported he did made them, what would it tell about those hacks? The Kaczynski government is perhaps the most besmirched by hacks government in Europe. Not only in Ireland and England, but across the press in Europe, including also a large chunk of the press in Poland. The reasons for this hatred, however, are not those that the hacks in your countries present to you, but different ones. We can discuss them here.

In Poland, we have scores of Polish-language media that are, actually, Polonophobic. Is it the same case in Ireland, i.e. that you have losts of media in your native tongue that are, actually, anti-Irish?

The 'main' BBC is one of the most Polonophobic media in the English language.

Daffy, Warsaw Voice isn't an auhoritative source on Polish subjects.

Yes, folks, your media hacks present an extremely distorted picture of things Polish to you. Hence I don't blame you for your attitude exhibited here, but, ata the same time, I'd expect you being a bit more skeptic towards the media reports, not only on Poland, but on any subject at all. the system of the media is such that it attracts to it scores of psychopaths- compulsive liars, and make psychopaths out of decent folks. :)

Mr Marek, re:'None of us enjoys facing the truth.' - Meaning that you as a Jew do not enjoy facing the truth about the Jewish Polonophobia, and I as a Pole don't enjoy facing the truth about the Polish Jew-phobia? If so, let's try to face it no matter what. Do you want to try? Re: Jews in Poland allegedly did not assimilate as good as Jews in Germany. - Because they didn't want and didn't have to do that. The Poles were far more tolerant towards the Jewish national and religious separatnedness than the Germans. There's abundant historical evidence of this. By the way, what kind of great Jewish 'assimilation' was it in Germany if the Jews were eventually dispossessed, massacred, and shipped to concentration camps by the Germans? If the Germans allegedly assimilated the Jews so very well, why during their most nationalistic hour - in Hitler's time - did they want to get rid of all the Jews from Germany? Tell me, Mr Marek. :)

On the other hand, why should I conceal the fact that I deeply respect the British Royal Family, and also love the English? I would be a liar and coward if I concealed this fact. I love them all, English, Scottish, and Irish. I really mean - love. And Welsh just as much! If you wish to see a total Britophile and Irish-phile - look at me! :) PS. Mr Marek, would you kindly write English here, as some of the participants may not understand your (broken) Polish? And, Mr Marek, instead of the usual cunning and morally repulsive Zionist whining about the alleged 'antisemitism' of the Poles (whatever the term 'antisemitism' should mean), how about speaking about the ageless, rabid Polonophobia of the Jews? How about speaking of the Jewish Stalinist murderers of the Polish patriots during the Stalinist period in Poland (ca 1945-53)? Those Jewish Stalinists also finished off countless Krauts, didn't they? Ever heard of Solomon Morel or Lola Potok, Mr Marek? What would you say, Mr Marek? :)

Recently, a poll in Germany showed that the Poles are the least liked nation in Germany.

Well, daffy, if you mean that the Kraut's postings were his attempts 'to drag everything through the mud,' and my reply to him is on a little better level, then why it is my posting that has been relegated to the Off-Topic Lounge, and his curses and vulgarities remain in the open? :)

Matyjasz tells me that with the vulgar rabid insulting kraut-psycho I should use 'more facts, less insults.' Hm, really? So he spits out insults, and I should nicely and politely, pretending that he hasn't pissed me off, reply to him with 'facts'? Wrong! - Don't you know, Matty, that there's no discussion with a psychopath? Only insults can sometimes affect him. And, according to some, the very best manner of 'talking' with a psycho is with a baseball bat. :)

Oops, daffy, can you quote those alleged 'moronic statements' of mine? So , really, what I scribbled is so much worse than what the kraut s...t did? :)
