USA, Canada / Dear American Poles, look how much Brits make in Poland [28]

24 $ per h is 24 $ per h (after tax) ... what is more as a English teacher ;-) work in every biger town ... I think it is ok.

what's the unemplyment numbers?

Warszawa 3% Poznan 2,5% Krakow 3% Wroclaw 4% ...

it's called 'taste of real freedom'

FOX TV ? ;-)
honestly I think that for 24$/h in Poland you have better standarts of living than in USA that is all, who will take oportunity will gain (this particular occupation) who prefere to work in USA for 15$/h will stay there. I just posted this thread to show sth.

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

I have seen it 3 months ago ... in Poland

There is nice info ...

Russians can change their mind in case of Nord Stream (gas pipeline throught baltic sea) and build it through Poland ... I think that it would be great business for both Poland and Russia. Poland would feel safe and Russia would have chiper transit becase costs of Nord stream increasea and increase and now it is 3-4 times more expenisve than project realizated through Poland ;) and our new government is able to find compromises with Russia ...

Work / legal work for Ukrainians Russians and Belorussians in Poland [15]

new Gov is business pocket so people from the bottom will not be heard ;) there will be more concessions for them (esp Ukriainias) average sallary on Ukraine is about 300 $ ... so I think Ukrianie is good choice when we look on cult differences and pay rates there.

USA, Canada / Dear American Poles, look how much Brits make in Poland [28]

I don't licitate just posted nice option (in my opinion) Poland isn't USA ;) it is sure :-)

Life in Poland is much expensive than in the US

depends but lets leave it.

But then - who needs more teachers in Poland? Every second English-speaking foreigner to Poland hopes to find a job as a teacher.

rates are to high and competition would be nice ;) (form Polish point of view) but 60 PLN for one hour isn't anything special. I know a lot of people who pay more for private conversations. I think Brits form the forum don't know everything about the market ...

Honestly we need more English teachers and natives have job ... much better paid than other techers and nothing will change in nearest time.

Work / legal work for Ukrainians Russians and Belorussians in Poland [15]

First of all Russians won't take them...

we will see, Russians from Moscov will stay home (the same as Poles form Warszawa don't go to UK) but maybe form Kaliningrad ...

Ukrainians are in Poland ... so it is good step...

Market is only partly opened and we will see ... we need 300 000 lauborers so ... if not Ukrainians and Russians ... we will take Chinese

1000 euro is 1000 euro (every day higer)

... have you seen ques for Polish visa in Ukraine ?

News / Have the European media lost interest in Poland? [17]

yes Poland is much less controversial I thing it is main reason.

We domn't have any negotiations with EU, we don't debate about commies and gay rights ... much more intersting thing is crisise in USA. Russian-Polish realtions ... it seams both sides try to make them more normal and less controversial. Polish imigrants are nothing new ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

lol You have to say that our new gov is much more proffesional ... ;)

Stalin who cares about him ... we live in present time

Poland rather not endure quickly veto against Russia

So tell us both a source in the Foreign Ministry , as well as people from government circles , shaping European policy . Anyway - we are told - conductive EU Slovenia insisted on Poland to this agreed to abolish the veto , because she wanted to start negotiations with Moscow during his presidency ...

we will see

Life / Drunken like German, respectable like Pole. Article of German jurnalist [15]

Sure it would be nicer....but like everything stereotypes must be worked for (sometimes hard).Just claiming them won't achieve nothing.Stereotypes get awarded not taken....

as I said it is German journalist ... and we have a lot of work to achieve more (so I agree)

lol, have you been to Holland Sadek?

I have been :P

What is more their trade mark is much different ... what about euthanasia abortion drugs hmmm

It is Europe some people will live in Holland some in UK and some in Germany and some in Poland

What is interesting Leo Benhakker (our National team trainer) claims that he don't feel Duth any more ... I am not going to repeat why he claims so because I will be considered racist or moron ...

I don't think that being conservative is bad. Holland is liberal in EU and Poland can be conservative. why not. maybe it would be good sign. Poland country without euthanasia, abortion and where it is not shame to go to church and be religous person. Pavements are clean, there is no corruption and officers are honest. Kind of trade mark.

why not ? I think it would be good idea to go this way.

Life / Drunken like German, respectable like Pole. Article of German jurnalist [15]

Poles Germanised ? Germans Polonised ? German journalist writes article in Polish newspaper.

article about bribes, traveling by train, Police, drinking habits.

it is positive article. It shows that some stereotypes about Poland are wrong and that in some cases we have better standarts than Germans. Sterotypoes exists and this juranlist just noticed that Gremans are more "Polish" than Poles and Poles are more "German" than Germans (in some particular cases) ... It isn't about culture but about bribes, drinking habits, officers. Klaus Bachmann lives in Wroclaw and it is good that he noticed some changes.
