News / John Cleese in polish advertise [30]

There was controversy over this. People from Pcim, or however u write it, complained that it was somehow insulting to them that Cleese mentioned their village

Irn-Bru is legendary, a drink of champions. Has anyone tried Moray Cup from Banffshire?

Life / Angina, Polish resources needed [27]

I was also shocked when my student told me she had angina. I called her to ask if she was ok and she told me about her sore throat so I said, 'yeah, but what about ur angina?" Strange conversation it was. As long as they don't have a second meaning for vagina I guess, LOL.

Love / why is the older women such a problem for polish guys [37]

Nothing like Japanese guys with foreign women. Japanese women are, by and large, subservient to the chauvinistic Japanese man. They get accustomed to that and to their detriment. Many foreign women just don't stand for that, they are not uległy like most Japanese women.

Life / POSITIVES ABOUT POLAND AND POLISH PEOPLE.... [119]

Many Poles are super people, I've met some top characters here. Look for faults and u will find them but I can associate with them. I wouldn't say the best people but certainly they have their fair share of good souls

UK, Ireland / College Assignment: integration of Polish people into Irish Society [8]

Noimmigration, that's a fair point in some cases. My 2 cents worth is that they, like the Japanese, are eager to learn about ur culture when in a classroom but it tends to stay there. I think many have integrated, especially in Ireland, but there is this undeniable urge to work to send money home, rather than act for the collective benefit of the company that they work for. The Irish, like the Scots, have received the Poles better than the English in general. I've met some guys who have been to Ireland and they are pretty talented at what they do. I don't like this clustering tho, I always try to mingle with natives when I travel but that's just me

Life / Why is Poland so slow; it takes a lot of time to arrange anything here [53]

I'm always prepared to admit that I could be wrong. I used to get fazed by the dilly-dallying and fannying about in shops but much less now. What got me was when I asked 4 sth and they looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. My Polish pron is pretty decent, sth most Poles tell me honestly. Then my girl steps up and pronounces it in the same way and everything's A OK. My friend is a little less restrained when they get under his skin that way.

The worst case of the snail syndrome was in Katowice. I looked on happily as I opened the door and saw only 4 people in the queue. Little did I know that I'd still be there 90 mins later, WAITING. One guy was there for 50 mins. The gutting thing was that I needed this document from the regional hall. What made it worse was the fact that they screwed up my middle name. They had to retype it and that took another 15 mins. I barely made it back to Gliwice in time to teach my classes.

Eh, I smell BS finT. Avocado is awokado in Polish so they are gonna know it. If sth doesn't scan, it is the fault of the machine, not the attendant. I saw this more in Scotland than here.

The salad is 5 days past its sell by date, well, don't buy it, buy another one. Or, better still, buy fresh lettuce and tomatoes and make ur own.

The drunk who smells of pee is a social issue, not the fault of the supermarket.

I've never heard of ALBERT.
