I was born in Europe, lived my entire life in Europe and probably will die in Europe. Of course I am not European.


You heard wrong. In Holland, when asked, all Jews were acting as correct Dutch citizens when asked somewhere before the war to go to the townhall and register themselves, and went. When asked to state their religion, they did. When the Germans came, all the archives were freely available to them, all they had to do was just sift through the names and pick out the ones that had a "J" in the column for religion. Easy-peasy. A girl could do it.

The presence of somebody like Geert Wilders doesn't necessary mean that I agree with him. He is just a populist that shouts without arguments. And the underbelly of Dutch society who supports him? They are still a minority in the first place and now it may be minorities, but next year when somebody keeps telling them that grass should be blue, then they all shout for the person who says so in public. Geert Wilders is the cancer of the Dutch society: he has no plan, except personal gain, no vision except hatred and has basically no clue what to do, should he come to power in 2010 after the elections. In fact, even though I despise him, I actually hope he gets to power next year as I would love to see him fail. Because he will. His "party" or "movement" consists of only 1 member, namely himself. And besides all this blablabla of his, he is of Indonesian descent himself and is married to a Hungarian woman. But that is not an issue to him. Haven't heard him bring decent proposals to tackle the crisis; his only solution is: throw them in jail and after that back to the originating country. We are talking about kids who were born and raised in Holland. Mister Wilders was terrifying silent when it turned out to be a DUTCHMAN who committed the attack on our queen on the 30th of April this year. Instead, his party-paper, DeTelegraaf, sought loads and loads of mitigating circumstances to explain this deed in which 9 ppl died. However, if a Moroccan just about as looks dirty at a DUTCH person, then his solution is: in jail for 10 years and then back to Morocco. And for the rest his only solution is: throw them in jail or ban it. Does the air smell bad? Ban the air! Et cetera, I guess you catch my drift here. Geert Wilders is NO solution whatsoever and will bite himself in the long run and die off as a movement.

Are you sure about that?

I remember seeing a documentary of how Poland was the ONLY country after WW2 that actually had a mass killing of Jews (41 or 42 ppl), based on the declarations of a 9-year old who THOUGHT he had seen a Jew drink the blood of a christian baby.

Everywhere in Europe, actually except the Benelux, Portugal (it was the SPANISH who kicked the Jews out), Northern Italy, London (there were pogroms against Jews in rural Britain) and Scandinavia there have been mass killings of Jews throughout history, but the worst always have been in Eastern Europe with the exception of Hungary and Romania, but those are not Slavic ppls.

The Jews were a seperate group in France, but they were not treated as bad as in Poland or Russia. Nowhere in Europe Jews were integrated into society, except again the Benelux, Portugal, Northern Italy, London and Scandinavia, with the highest extend of integration in Holland and Sweden. Unfortunately, when the Nazis invaded Holland, it was this very integration that made it easy for them to pick out the Jews and that is also why Holland relatively has the highest number of Jewish victims during WW2. I say relatively because we had a far less big population of Jews than Poland, for example. But of the 300.000 we had, 210.000 would get killed. The Nazis just had to go to the town hall and pick out the addresses as Jews were considered normal citizens, unlike nearly all the other countries in Europe.

But still I am glad that I am from a country which is so advanced that minority groups like the Jews (like myself) could so fully and completely integrate into society.

Biological aspect:

Does being homosexual make one's seed infertile? Can a homosexual man, or woman, not produce children when they have (successful) intercourse with a member of the opposite sex?

Sociological/Psychological aspects:

There are plenty of examples of family-fathers who got married in the 50's and 60's, had children and later on came out of the closet as being homosexual. They only got married because of prejudices like this, which made most of their life miserable as they went against their nature. And it is safe to assume that as long as a homosexual does not have such great moral inflictions as for example John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer (which was actually a necrofile) that they go out an kill lots of ppl, there would be no objection against their psychological state.

But as for serial killers like Gacy and Dahmer, of which the first one clearly killed because of his homosexuality and the second one had homosexuality as a side-effect for his bigger problem, necrofilism (both should be regarded as excesses, nasty incidents), there are plenty examples of heterosexual serial killers like Ted Bundy, Ridgeway (the green river killer) and even of bi-sexual serial killers: Henry Lee Lucas; pedofiles: Lopez (the monster of the Andes), the Rostov ripper. And the list of exceptions and excesses goes on - for every sexual variation there would be a serial killer.

"Sickness" implies some form of immobility, incapability or any other barricade that bars ppl from performing normally, or what is expected/defined as normal within society. I grant that there probably will be homosexuals that will not be able to perform normally within society, but most likely there is something else wrong with them in that case. Also, I would like to point out that there are quite some heterosexuals which are not capable to function normally in society. What a person does in his private time in the private confinements of their homes is totally their business and not to others to judge upon. Sometimes there are manifestations of open homosexuality in the form of parades, festivals, et cetera, and in most countries, except few, these are tolerated and accepted as they are highly organized and kept within well defined borders. But these manifestations are not on a regular basis like every week. Unlike heterosexual manifestations, which nearly happen on a daily basis in the form of nightclubs, having sex in someone else's garden, harrassing women et cetera.

Given the number of heterosexual manifestations in public, compared to the number of homosexual manifestations in public, I would definitively not say that homosexuality is a disruption of society. Second point is, regarding to the opening of this post, homosexuals are perfectly capable of performing jobs, functions and the like in public life without the note about their sexual preference. In fact there are more disruptions by heterosexuals not being capable of performing normal functionality in public life than homosexual disruptions.

Concluding, based on the number of incidents, manifestations and disruptions, the label "sickness" would rather go to the heterosexuals if you want to confine the term strictly within the boundaries I mentioned in the opening of this post.

So you would also go to a party of young straight men and women in the middle of the night with loud music to beat them up? Loud music is not particularly orientation-related. In fact, my experience is that straight people (especially men) are more annoying in their behaviour than gay ppl. And what's worse, from straight men it gets tolerated because "they are like us". Gays have to walk on eggs all the time and not much gets tolerated from them.


I have the same experience. But besides it being a shame, I just think it's a kind of backward view. You may disagree with this opinion, but I think there is no room for any hatred or intolerance based on race, religion, orientation and the like. In fact, every civilized country has certain laws against these kind of excesses, simply because it is not tolerable in this 21st century anymore. We've been through that before and we have seen what hatred and intolerance can lead to in multiple instances, so why the heck does this cancer rears it's ugly head time and time again?

Funny thing in all of this is: as soon as you say something about Poland or the Poles, they start jabbering about discrimination and generally get upset. But apparently that's normal for them.

I am aware of that, but this thread is about homosexuals and the focus is on Poland. It just seems to happen more often there. First of all, I haven't got a clue what you are talking about. Secondly, if Poland doesn't want foreigners, they shouldn't go abroad themselves. Very simple. If you want to remain isolated, that's fine, but don't invade other countries just because that's where the money is to be had. And if you think that Poland doesn't have to accept anything it doesn't want, then better re-read the charter of the EU again. They were eager to sign it to get all the benefits, but they don't want to deal with this aspect of INTEGRATION? Yes, my dear, this is how it's called. Integration. One of the milestones of modern society. Nothing to do with New World Order (Jesus, I thought that this was only the domain of cheap superhero booklets) or whatever. Just normal and natural proceeding. And so what if we all turn tan in a few generations? We will not live to tell and who cares as long as everybody is happy it really doesn't matter. But if Poland does not want to integrate into the Global Village, then maybe Poland should withdraw all its citizen from abroad? Or is that a different story?

I am not the one bringing up the subject. And what for some is reasonable can be unreasonable for others. That's the way it works. The point is the fact that the way somebody dresses might lead to (in your own words) "an astronomically improved chance of random beating" and how much it says that we and Poland in particular still have to learn a lot about tolerance and peace and harmony. I noticed you get a bit agitated? Why is that?

On the other hand, I have never seen groups of gays beating up straight ppl just because they were straight and/or wore macho clothing.


On the other hand, I do like it when they have once again a naked protest against something. I always like especially the females protesting :) Although I think they should be standing up a bit more instead of just lying around in foetus-position. You don't see anything that way! Tsk!

So, just because there are some depraved minds out there who can't cope with the fact that they themselves might be homosexual, these ppl are not allowed or at least should not dress up when that is what they like? That is in fact the ruling of the mini-dictatorship, mentioned earlier in this or another thread by somebody. We don't want to go into a state like that. You may or may not like gays, but leave them in peace if they leave you in peace. Just because somebody does something you don't like, it's never a reason to use violence: that would be the same as when I don't like yellow t-shirts and I beat somebody up just for wearing a yellow t-shirt. I am just pointing out the ridiculousness of the whole line of thinking that gays should adjust to basically the wishes of the ppl who use violence against them. Poland needs to adjust this situation and it needs to adjust this really fast if they want to become part of the big family that is Europe. Guess they never expected these kind of issues when they became part of the EU in 2004. That it would be more than just economic gain.


PETA is the exception that does the rule. And in a way they are radical. Being radical does not always mean violent. In most cases it is, but not always.

What you are referring to is known as "Transvestites" or cross-dressers, which are not necessarily homosexual. In fact, none of my gay friends dress up like that. You can easily note a transvestite, while one can not note a homosexual that easily by passing one by. What I am referring to is the underlying note you make that apparently homosexuals bring it on themselves that they get beaten up. And that is pertinent not true.

Besides, isn't it so that most movements start out as radical as they can be, just to assume their position in society? Weren't the feminists of the 70's and the 80's extremely radical in their rejection of men and aren't they at the moment much more moderate in their views? I think in Poland and all former Eastern Bloc countries being open homosexual is rather novel at this point in time, so they need to establish their position in society. In a few decades they will have assumed the same position as homosexuals in my country.
