Matyjasz, for such a smart guy, that was a stupid comment. In theory, the police are there to help u but that'd reflect in the faith in the police force. Look at studies that disprove this. Many people get paid for sth and make a hash of it.

Black policemen here, IMHO, would be targets for racial hatred. They wouldn't command the respect of many communities and would likely get set upon whilst doing their beat/patrol.

Czarnuchu is bad tho, right? I wouldn't count on help from the police. How many black Polish police are there nationwide? Can't be many. Many top policemen in America are black, they have all the credentials to make top officers. To introduce black policemen here would only increase the potential for crime unfortunately.

Maybe the Polish government should think about creating incentives for people to open their own interests/firms (działalnośći). After all, many businesses operate under such fundamental principles.

Well kingkong1, maybe that's what gives them their moist and succulent texture.

Summertime, steady on, we've not long entered spring. BBQ's here are great as Poland has the best sausages in the world. The standard of meat generally is super high. The beef is pretty decent. Not quite on a par with Aberdeen Angus or Kobe beef, which I tried in Kobe incidentally, but tasty.

I need to slim down in spring so I can enjoy the veritable feast.

The cops here are amongst the toughest in the world. I wouldn't mess with them. U don't face immediate deportation but it's better to get all the paperwork done on time. Polish bureaucracy is rather unforgiving

I know Polish doctors are good, VERY good, so why do Polish people complain about them so often?

I read the article and I know that the position is very rosy here. I'm not here to devalue anything, I know that Polish doctors are excellent. Some doctors felt the need to accept 'backhanded' payments, straight into their pockets. There are imperfections as there will always be.

Don't think that I am one of those 'enemy' Brits £ukasz, I'm as objective as I can be. I see many plusses here
