News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

Best example, the Nord-Stream-Pipeline! :)

Poland was invited to take part....they would have gotten independent access to the pipeline with branches to polish territory (the offer still stands as far as I know).

Poland is not the only country or organization opposing the pipeline. But you knew that, didn't you?

As a good Pole, you'll no doubt know the bible. I direct you to Luke 6:42
" Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye."

Who gives a sshit about the bible? You?
Don't give me ancient fables, boy. You like them? Then live by them.

An anti-semitic liar is lecturing me on honour. He must be a Pole.

I wouldn't dare. The task is impossible. You are completely resistant to any sense of reason and lack what it takes to understand things. Hatred blinds you and there in no know cure for it. A lowly scribe who can't make it in any serious periodical, so he goes to Poland, finds a column in a substandard 3rd rate rag, and lies to unsuspecting foreigners to satisfy and confirm the distorted image of Poland they had been conditioned to accept for decades.

Harry

Poles composed the 4th largest forces in Europe during WW2, and only after protests in the British parliament and in the British press were a token few invited, as a consolation prize. They refused the breadcrumbs that someone unwillingly kicked in their direction because this is the way to behave honorably. They all risked their lives, they all should have been invited.

But then, honor is not something you wouldn't even come close to understanding.

What should Britain have done and when should they have done it?

First of all that clown Chamberlain should have not blackmailed Poland into abandoning mobilization efforts when it was clear the war was inevitable. They should have been realistic in their promises (that's what pacts are in essence), or they should have worked towards making their military actually be fit for war. After all they saw what happened to Czekoslovakia, and British military force in Europe was comparable to the Czekoslovakian.

Years before, Britain should have stuck to the treaties and limitations imposed on Germany.

When Hitler bombed Polish cities, towns and villages indiscriminately, the British and the French could have done the same, but concentrating on German military and industrial installations. Unfortunately, there was no real leadership in the UK at the time, and so Britain lost the first phase of WW2 miserably, and it could be argued that through failed politiking in the years and months leading to the war, and through their military inaction, the British government helped Hitler extend the war and its scale to what is now history.

When Brits laugh at Poles for Spetember/October 1939, it is them who deserve the laughs. The British and the French, the two "superpowers" were powerless anachronisms wrapped in pretty flags and great speeches, while Poland was the only country where Germans encountered any resistance to speak of.

No matter how many times Poles lie about this event, the facts are going to stay the same. So why can't you try telling the truth for a change?

You are a disgrace to any historical research. Your hate filled posts have no place here and I am really surprised that anybody in Poland would give you any kind of employment, unless they are, like you, interested in destroying Poland's good reputation and the memory of the thousands who fought against Nazis, selflessly and wherever they could.

What is even more shocking is your blatant and uninhibited lying, in public, even though you must know the truth if you want to claim any position in the debate. What happened at the end of WW2 and how Poles were betrayed was made possible only by the scumbags like yourself. Unfortunately, garbage like yourself is still well and alive. You are a lowly liar.

It is also notable for the exclusion of all Polish servicemen; hundreds thousands of whom served in the Polish Armed Forces in the West as one of the largest Allied contingents. The 303 squadron was the only Polish unit invited; it declined because the invitation was not extended to any other Polish unit, despite Poland being the fourth largest European ally during World War II.

or:

For the Poles and their military standards will be present for the first time in a British victory parade. Even though Poland made one of the largest contributions to the Allied war effort and there were thousands of Polish troops stationed in the UK at the time, the country was excluded from the original London celebration in 1946.

Stalin, who had established communist rule in eastern Europe, indicated that he did not wish Poland to be represented and the British authorities agreed for fear of offending their ally.

Now Britain is making amends by putting the Poles at the head of Sunday's parade.

"It's very good that it's happening. But it's a bit late in the day," says 95-year-old Witold Leitgeber, a former Polish army captain who, like many others, settled in Britain after the war.

Jan Zielonka, lecturer in European politics at Oxford University, says: "Historically, Polish contribution to the war has never been sufficiently acknowledged. Poland provided the fourth largest Allied army in the war yet they were excluded from marching in the celebration because Stalin wanted it so."

Yet, despite its accomplishments in the war, none Of 303's Pilots took part in the fly-past. None marched in the parade. For they were all Polish -- and Poles who had fought under British command were deliberately and specifically barred from the celebration by the British government, for fear of offending Joseph Stalin. A week earlier, ten members of Parliament had written a letter of protest against the exclusion. "Ethiopians will be there," the letter declared. "Mexicans will be there. The Fiji Medical Corps, the Labuan Police and the Seychelles Pioneer Corps will [march] -- and rightly, too. But the Poles will not be there. Have we lost not only our sense of perspective, but our sense of gratitude as well?"

Real Estate / Construction (Poland Vrs where you are from) [66]

his is the two pin sockets.

I sure remember those, and how ridiculously they were designed.

I was wondering though whether the main issue with those boxes (always moving, or falling out) had to do with the mostly solid brick/concrete in which they had to be installed.

History / Poles nation on the wheels...? [16]

Polish farmers have enough of food but they were unwilling to hand it to thieving government.

That is true. There was plenty of food available from farmers but the government imposed restrictions in order to maintain the artificially created shortages. It was, for instance, illegal to sell or buy food products (especially meat) on the open market. The trade was labeled "spekulacja" which have a criminal connotation.

USA, Canada / Why would someone leave Poland for the US? [120]

Ask that question from your parents,or grandparents. Why did they leave?

The question was about Poland, not about the occupied territory called en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polska_Rzeczpospolita_Ludowa

UK, Ireland / WHY DO POLISH PEOPLE THAT COME TO ENGLAND CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH? [118]

how would you feal if 3million english goto poland and dont learn polish?

That's what's happening right now. While there are not 3 million Brits in Poland (neither are there 3 million Poles in England) what percentage of Brits living in Poland speaks Polish?

If you won't large scale though, there were over 3 million of Jews living in Poland before WW2. Most could not speak Polish, even though they had been descendants of generations of Jews living there.

History / Poles nation on the wheels...? [16]

On the way back the bring food from Soviet Ukraine to starving Poland in Solidarity time.

It seems that soviet propaganda worked and is still infecting your brain.
In 1980's Polish railroad workers would wels train wheel to the tracks to delay transport of Polish food to the USSR. Soviets have always had problems with food supply due to their fantastically inefficient practices, corruption and alcoholism.

1980's was the times of the embargo on grain exports to the USSR. Soviets could not produce enough to feed their own and the official propaganda stated that the great Soviet nation suffers shortages because they need to help Poland, devastated by the Solidarity movement.

Btw. the largest country in the world, with all the resources one could dream of, and they still couldn't produce enough food.

But there are good reasons for that. In the USSR ideology was the food, and it would override all common sense decisions. In 1930's, I believe, Stalin wanted to have a proof that collective farming is better than individual ways. A group of individuals were given plots of land, and an equal area of land was given to a collective farm. After a couple years the yields were compared. The collective farms were about 10 times less efficient than the private ran plots of land. The Soviet conclusion was that the individual farmers taking part in the experiment were to be... sent to prisons, since their actions were counter revolutionary and dangerous for the Soviet people.

Plywood

And your mention nothing of food smuggling from the USSR either. They are mostly so called luxury items.

Poles can't help who they are. Brits had choices and they fvcked up, and so they are now hated and bombed. Now, how smart is that?

Yes, I would say Germans have a better, more realistic view about the heights and depths of our past

That's great, but it's a pity that Germans had been completely unrealistic about the future.

News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

At times it's pretty easy to see why Poles are universally loathed

Is that why in India Britons and Americans targeted?
telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/india/3529123/Bombay-attacks-Britons-and-Americans-targeted.html

Lookie, no mention of Poles.

How about these:

2000 1 June: Bomb explodes on Hammersmith Bridge
2000 20 September: RPG attack SIS Building
2001 4 March: A car bomb explodes outside the BBC's main news centre in London. One London Underground worker suffered deep cuts to his eye from flying glass and some damage was caused to the front of the building.

2001 16 April: Hendon post office bombed
2001 6 May: The Real IRA detonate a bomb in a London postal sorting office. One person was injured.
2001, 3 August: The last Real IRA bomb, as of June 2008, in Britain explodes in Ealing, West London, injuring seven people.
2001, 4 November: Car bomb explodes in Birmingham
2005 7 July: The 7 July 2005 London bombings conducted by four separate suicide bombers, killing 56 people and injuring 700.
2007 January - February: The 2007 United Kingdom letter bombs
2007 30 June: 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack
2008 22 May: 22 May 2008 Exeter Bombing

Do you really think that Poles are so universally hated that the British are attacked instead? Oh, and that is only a partial list of planned and/or executed attacks against the British, and only since the year 2000.

Still, I'm a nice guy so I'll give you a piece of advice. When traveling around the world, for your own safety, try to use a passport other than British or American. Polish one will be fine. They hate us but they want to kill you. And this also puts the whole "dumb polack" thing in perspective.

Language / POLISH VERBS RICHER THAN ENGLISH ONES!? [12]

There some more words in respect to flying:

szybować - flight without flapping, or without the use of engine. English equivalent is "glide"

unosić się - to move upwards having lost contact with the ground, to fly upwards, or to remain up in the air.

wzbić sie - rise, move upwards, suggests movement more sudden and rapid than unosić się

sunąć - to glide in the air, without sudden changes of the flight pattern

Liar! WWII finished on Sept 2 1945

That was British war in their colonies. They shouldn't have been there in the first place.

I understand that you are a bigot who decided what religion somebody must be on the basis of their opinions.

So all Jews are religious?

Was it my ancestors or yours who gave returning Polish Jews warm welcomes like the one they got in Kielce in 1947?

Returning Jews? Returning from where? I thought they were all killed.

And secondly, how many long weeks did the Polish army fight?

Polish armies fought every single day between Sept 1 1939 and May 9 1945. Some in the Eastern front, some in the Western one and some within Poland.

**** off bigot.

Is that the best you can do when you are proven wrong?

Neither owes a debt to the other.

Cool with me but not with the polonophobic assshole called Harry.

Tell that to Reinhard Heydrich. How many high-ranking Nazis did the Polish kill?

Wow! A Czech killed a German!
You're asking me how many high ranking German officers Poles killed? I thought you knew something about Poland's history. Or is it that you chose to mention only those parts which fit your homophobic agenda?

The UK did not fight for six years?

No, it didn't.
WW2 started on Sept 1 1939, ended on May 8/9 1945. That's 2076 (2077) days. 4 years is 2191 or 2192 days (depending on how leap years work out). Ergo, Brits DID NOT fight for 6 years in WW2.

Here’s the small problem you: I’m not Jewish. And before you ask, neither were either of my parents.

's okay, I understand.

Talk about ancient history all you want, the fact remains that after WWII the few Polish Jews who survived the holocaust got such a welcome when they got home that almost all of them left Poland.

You are really a sick bastard.

I am not a bigot.

You posts are for all to see here, liar.

Quote a single lie I've told.

Here you go:

The UK fought a war which it didn’t need to fight, for six long years

That's obviously a lie. Neither these alleged six years are any longer than other six year periods, nor did Brits fight for six years in WW2.

Anotrher one:

Although we’d better not include the 1943 Warsaw uprising

There is no such thing in history of WW2 as 1943 Warsaw uprising.

News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

A classic Polish move: blame other people for your own mistakes. Your very own Colonel Beck was worried about giving Hitler a pretext to invade (that was the reason Poland wasn’t fully mobilised when the attack came, or did Poles suddenly decide in 1939 that for the first time in their history they would do what a Brit told them to). He was so worried that he wouldn’t even let Britain send any service personnel at all to Poland before the German attack.

Bottom line is Poles put up a fight. Czechs did not. Therefore Czechs are to be admired, Poles to be laughed at. Using your logic, a person who never went to school is a more admirable scholar than someone who failed an exam among many he took.

Pity that your IQ can’t see the difference between the USA and UK when assessing who betrayed Poland.

Both did.

The UK fought a war which it didn’t need to fight, for six long years

UK did not fight for 6 years at all. And as soon as they started they were humiliated, and the humiliation came very swift. They did not surrender. They escaped since thay had not a chance against Germans. When you laugh at Poles, pause for a second and think (if you can) how a poor, and young country was a match in a conflict with Germany and USSR, when combined forces of two superpowers France and Britain got beat so badly by Germans alone.

Not that Poles ever have even a single word of thanks for that. Only lies and complaints.

You hate filled Jew always fail to be fair. Words mean squat. Brits offered a lot of those in 1939. They were useless. Poles, in contrast, fought for Britain and the effort was significant.

So in your mind I must be Jewish.

You don't have. You simply are, and you don;t need to be ashamed of that, only of your personal hatred.

You must be Polish.

Yes, I am and always will be.

The pity for you is that you can’t organise your traditional entertainment (i.e. a pogrom) because the Germans killed all your Jews.

All Poles did was organize pogroms against Jews, and yet Jews flocked to Poland, escaping from all other parts of Europe, straight into the claws of the Polish anti-semite. Not only did that happened once or twice but Jews were so stupid that they kept on heading towards a slaughter for nearly 1000 years.

You don't hold your own Jewish kind in high esteem, do you?
A self hating Jew?

News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

The Czechs got properly sold down the river by both the British (the Munich fiasco) and the American (made virtually no attempt to push on into Czechoslovakia and handed the bits they had captured to the Soviets).

So was Poland.
Chamberlain went out of his way to convince Poland to not mobilize any forces, in order not to pisss Hitler off, as if he hadn't been since his birth.

But you don’t hear Czechs ******** and moaning about it in the way that Poles do. They’re respectful for the efforts which were made to help them and don’t just lie about what happened.

They have no reason whatsoever to complain. They did not put ANY fight against nazis. What grounds would they have to complain? Poles fought from day one to the last day of WW2 and they were betrayed. But you need to have an IQ at least in the upper range of 2 digits to see the difference.

You tell me where the last of the Czech forces surrendered to Germany and I’ll tell you where the last of the Polish forces surrendered to Germany.

Threatening a Luftwaffe attack on Prague, Hitler persuaded Hácha to order the capitulation of the Czechoslovak army. On the morning of March 15, German troops entered Bohemia and Moravia, meeting no resistance.

After that Czechs had no reasons to surrender.

Poland: second to fight and first surrender.
Poles: lying and whining about the war since 1939.

Only a Jew can hate Poland that much.

Either way, Poland was first to surrender.

No Harry, Poland was not the first to surrender but you are first to make a fool of yourself by this post.

Czechoslovakia was first to surrender. Poland was first to fight against Germans and Poles put up a damn good fight, while Soviets stabbing Poles in their backs. Only those filled with hatred against Poles can interpret history otherwise.
