News / Germans file WWII claims against Poland [198]

sure, i know that, but you should have the smarts to know these people have 'agenda's and scores to settle. I ignore these people. you should too. to listen to them is to give them what they want. (in part)

Absolutley Daffy, I was just making a comment on the post. There is alot of this that goes on in America, not the same issue, but double standards.

The last two points are opinion. You have no idea that the German people 'want' poland 'back'

Was not refereing to they want it back, just the land they felt taken from them, not the whole country.

what those two do in the privacy of their own homes is there business

:)

seems reasonable

I have 2 nominations, do I have a third????:) :) :)

If a fourth of Poland's population can disappear in a single war, then 6 million Jews can be killed too.

I'm with you all the way Art, but on Fox News they showed them, even Arafat before he died denying the Holocaust happened and said it was made up ny the jews!! i am not kidding!!

And I agreee Hugo and Akmadinajad can **** each other til the day the cows come home to roost!!!!!!!!!!!

AMEN!!

News / Germans file WWII claims against Poland [198]

who here said it never happened?

daf,
Was a rhetorical question and half joke,
Actually the Iranian Preseident (good luck spelling his name), he held a confereence in Iran and the Venezualean President Chavez attended it, I am sorry but there are alot of people who have actually come out and said this never happened.

How old are you? seen? unless your over 75 i expect you 'saw' nothing of WW2

Also Rhetorical, No I am not 75 I am 45, I have seen documentaries on the war and seen what the Germans did to Jews and others in the gas chambers and also in the movie Shindlers List.

I did not say I did not forgive them, of course I do, its the insanity of the double standard I do not like,
#1) The invade Poland
#2) they kill, pilfer, destroy
#3) then the russians come and battle them back
#4) they loose their property that they stole
#5) the russians take it all away
#6) russians finally leave
#7) Germans want what never belonged to them
#8) Double Standard

News / Germans file WWII claims against Poland [198]

The Germans murdered an Uncle of mine in COLD BLOOD, and from what I have seen WWII they really didn't (most of them) didn't feel any remorse about murdering millions more, all because of one lunatic...OOP'S forgot the Holacaust never happened according to some.

I say go back to Germany and tak eit up with your own Gov't they were the reason if they did loose their land. From what I understand Poland used to be much bigger than it is now, so maybe we should get our land back.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

Hullo,

Hello!!
Sorry couldn't he;p that, so please take as a funny jesture!1 Man there are foriegn investors all over America, have you ever herd of the Stock market?? There they invest in the housing market by the billions holding notes on Mortgages, and I personally sold a foriegn investor years ago 5 homes. So I got my paycheck and he got his rentals. Lets face it there is always going to be the ones who rent and the ones who own, it is part of a capitolistic society, was Poland better off in communism?? Heck no, I am not sure of Polish capital gains taxes, but in America if it is not your personal residence (principal) you pay taxes when you sell it minus costs to sell, there are no other deductions, if it is held in a business name it still does not matter. Last year I paid 45K in Fedaeral taxes on my business for 120,000K income for my business. Is very high corporate tax rate, and the more you make the higher tax they take, so there are no short cuts, paying less tax is a misnomer. I paid the bill, I should know, and believe me it wasn't easy writting the check, but if I don't want to go to jail, I will. Our counties thrive on transfer taxes from the sales, they get 1.5% of the price, they make a killing on this tax, so the gov't gets their share.

Ogorek,

Means cucumber in Polish???

i somewhat agree about a roof over your head, but disagree it is a right, I believe it is a priveledge, if you can afford more you are priveledged to have a bigger home, same with driving in US is not a right its a priveledge, because it can be taken away from you if you break the law too many times, same as a house, if you don't pay for it it will be foreclosed upon, but i understand your frustration very much. In america it is not he homes that are screwing up the people, its the "Free Society" living, moreover the humanisitc belief that what you believe is right is right and what your nieghbor believes is right is right, this leads to no absolutes in the world, so secular humanism is running rampant in America today, and I can not stand it. So I believe that you came from the old school of thinking about families, and I like that, i do too, i am not for someone else raising my boys, its up to me to put a foot up their A** when they need it.

But there are alot of people who do work day and night to keep themselves housed, and in america is is because most spend too much and do not save enough. I know in Poland is different, i have a friend who's mother works 6 days a week 10 hours a day and brings home 1600zl a month, so thats about 450 american??, pretty loousy, thank God their ome is paid for.

Anyway, i am sorry for your plight and I hop esomeday you wont have to work that hard.
I can say that because no one gave me anything and I worked very hard for what i have. So i am sure you are proudof what you have and have worked to have.

You knwo in America no one has the right to own a home, they have to pay for it, and many mortgage themsleves up to the breaking point, but the real estate industry has fueled our economy and there are many jobs because of this.

Let me ask you a question, i do not know what you do for a living, but can you change your job and do better so you can afford a better home, or so you do not have to work so hard?? Can you change your circumstances to make a betterlife for yourself, i only am asking this sincerely, because honestly i do not know. I have no Idea where you live or what it is like in your neigborhood. I know I am jumping into this conversation, but there are market influences that no one can stop, there are always going to be poeple who make money on real estate, I build homes, I used to sell real estate for 20 years, i have seen homes that sold for 35,000 in 1985 go for 200,000 now. Inflation, buyers in the market, there are alot of influences that drive up prices, not just greed, rememeber there are people buying these homes to live in, and the market sets the prices, not the seller.

In a sellers market they get good prices becasue demand is up, but in a market we have now where there is alot of inventory, prices stagnet and come down, because there is less demand, I have droped my prices and changed my sttradegies on how big of a home to design and build because of market influences. So there are alot more things at play that no one can control, and that is unfortunate for u, so I am sorry that you have this problem, i hope it can change for u in the future!!

Clunkshift,
Well put,
here in America the pc crowd is deafining. Political correctness is a cancer from hell. We are to be free but freedom of expression is out the window so we do not offend. If I can not wear my crucifix because someone may be offended, I might as well be ashamed of my Polish heritage!! I should not try to speak Polish because it may offend people who can not, ....How impugnitly disgusting is this bulls**t!!, I am so sick and tired that someone may be offended, first of all I havent come accross one person who told me my crucifix has offended them, basically they are agnostics, and want everyone to believe as they, as well as Atheiests who believe there is no God. Well I am proud to be Polish and proud to say I love God and I will wear it on my sleave. N man will ever take that right from me.

So these people may be few but here in America they use the word "unconstitutional" to get their brandof religion into play, which is none. A neutral, neutered society, No longer do morals and norms play in society, but PC, socialism and fear of trying to convert others to Christianity.

Resist these things as much as you can, because if the church can not post Christian text becasue it might offend...get this..Jesus said it would offend, so it is simple, since it does allready and before PC ever came around, lets just do it anyway, because I dont think you will find a muslim, or anyone from a different faith actually attend your church, it would be heresey for them and a muslim risks death. So lets resist the extermination of our Christian beliefs.. The signs of the times are here!! Hold on !!

So Ola,
take the advice you have been given, my dear Ola, bitterness is not becoming, it only hurts you, not anyone else around you, unless you strike out at them and injure them with your words, get id of the bitterness, like I said it will keep you down and hurt, and will not lift you up. Replace it with a bright and contrite spirit, one that is humble, now that is beautiful. Release your fears, because it is partly fear driving your words, release the dear and hatred, so you can prosper as well, like I said before, you can do the same, and maybe better than others....try it..:), you can be suprised what you have inside you and what you can do with it.

Wozzy ,
I am sorry if the war took away your land, it is sad to know that.

I am not trying to change your minds and how you feel, I am just relaying what my experience has been with this. Money is money, and work is work, it just depends on the vehicle you want driving it. With low prices comes low wages, a vibrant society will have inflation, its part of it. It will eventually come to poland like this just as it has in other Eu countries. It is inevitable, look for the wave and ride it up, it can be a good experience. Just look for the signs, it is not evil to make good money, just evil if you make it and do not share it, or wisdom of it. money will only make a corrupt heart evil only if the eil is there already.

I understand, but they are bringing money to buy them, but it is like that here too, but the people who own them pay property taxes as well. It still brings money to the region even if its for a few months, some poeple eventually retire in them. Imagine the amount of money if there were 100 homes bought like that for 75,000zl to someone who lived there and had it goven to them. Foriegn money is not bad. now those 100 people now will say buy a home worth 40,000zl and save the other 35,000zl and live comfortably, nothing wrong with the polish people who have lived so hard and endured so hard to have a bit of comfort. So there you have 100 x 35,000 thats 350,000zl for your local economy, lets say one of them opens a bakery and spends 20,000zl and this is thier dream to have, then people can buy from them. So its not just skin deep, it is a core reason America does so well. I started my company on nothing, I build new homes, I got a lan, built and sold, and I do it over and over again. I pay taxes, I create jobs, many jobs, so when they opern thier bakery they hire a school aged girl to help with baking on weekends, or one day a week, she brings home 25zl and feels good about what she has accomplished, and the man who lives down the street starts a little grocery, and one 2 miles away opens a dress store with thier money, and hire 4 more poeple each. so now we have 12 people with new jobs and more zl floating around. Really and honestly, i have been involved in Real Estate for 23 years, and nothing can come close to creating a vibrant society, so dont be afraid of that empty home for 10 months, its paid for and has dividends to boot.

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

Actually Ola,
capitalism is not bad. I own my own business and work very hard, many long hours and days. I do okay and I have paid for everything I have.

Now with real estate, one way to make a country richer is for the real estate to be worth more, real wages usually go up to make up for the lack of $$ to make payments because if i spend 10,000ZL for a house and then 10 years later sell it for say 75,000Zl then I made 65,000Zl which I will uise to buy a new home, and pay the other person more, then that person has more money and they spend it on shoes, cars, ice cream, what ever they spend it on, it grows the economy. i was in Poland 3 years ago and my friends mother works 50 hours a week and makes 1600 Zl a month, not alot of money.

Compared to other countries. As real estate goes so does the economy. Poland has no where to go but up, the area my friend lives in has such horrible roads and conditions. But as the economy grows the roads will be better, you see it is for everyones benefit, not just the greedy seller, they will spend it. This is what fuels the American economy. I built a house 10 years ago for 125,000 american $, i sold it 1 month ago for 415,000 american dollars, now I will go out and buy a large tract of ground and subdivide it and sell the lots and make more and build mysoef a nice home to retire in, also would love to goto poland and buy a small vacation home so I can visit relatives. So I will come and bring some of my American Money there so it will grow your economy. You do not need to be so hostile, it is not bad. Look the soviets took it all, plundered the country for soooo Looong, you deserve a piece of the pie!!!! my dear, get out from under that rock, work hard and you will have a chance to have it, there are many here in America with that same defeatist attitude, and unless you pull yourself up, no one will do it for you, you can do it!! There is no top to what you can achieve as a free person. You couldn't do this 20 years ago, so take this freedom and be posative and do something about it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

Love / Discussion about Polish Men's Tempers [103]

Blingin

From on ewho is Married and NEVER hit my wife no matter how mad I was or not matter how much I didnt like her when I was mad, Love is a committment and PRIVELEDGE!!!!!!!!

He is Privledged to have you, however, if you want to know the true meaning of love look up II Corinthias chapter 13, it will tell you what love is and is not.. One clue....

Always caring. i may not have Liked my wife when I was made at her, but I still LOVED her. Men who hit woman are cowards and have a very low self esteem. They feel better about themselves after they hit someone weaker, let me tell you this, it wasn't just they WEED, he has it way down in him ,and a hatred for what his father did, and he is just doing what he saw before. He needs counseling! Do not go back to him, and cut off all contact. Move if you need to so he can not find you!!!!!!

Life / Real life of a Polish (the Great Woman, or even the Humble Man) :) [20]

Lone Stranger,
I read all the way throough on all the opinions of people here on marriage. Some want to "test ride" it, some want to wait. Your last post summed it up well. All the others forgot to invite God into thier thinking. You were the first to mention him by name.

I married 12 years ago. I have 2 wonderful boys and my marriage is God centered.
Listen when the glitter is gone and the babies arrive, and the quiet is gone and the fevers and puking arrive, when you are sleep depreived, and then see them grow and spank them, love them, chide them, pat them on the back, take them for thier first day of school, pray for them, let them come and sleep in your bed because they are afraid, watch them cry, fix thier wounds, wound thier spirits because you are stressed, ask them to forgive you, ...... what I have not heard other than God is committment. When you tae those vows you are commiting yourself to someone "ONE" for til death do you part, in the eyes of God, now I do not believe that in abuse this is true, but when she grows old and her beauty fads, when her breasts fall to her knees when she has your children, when she effortlessly cleans and cooks and mends your cloths...again it is committment. You see everyone is so worried if they would be compatable, well let me tell you now, it does not matter if she is a princess, or beauty model, or not as lucky as some, it is the committment you make. You will wake up next to your spouse, see them at thier best and worst, again..you will not be compatable always, there are bumps and bruises, its normal, but if you stick to committment it will work... i always think when I catch myself being selfish and thinking only about myself, what can I do for her today? My friends, you will never understand the opposite sex, if you have heard of the book, Men are from Mars and Woman are from Venus, I challenge you to read it. Marriage is about discovery, no not aout being the same, but how different you are and what can you bring to the table, not what they have...

Marriage counseling was the best thing we did BEFORE we tied the knot. uestions can be answered, dialog can take place. Important questions like... Do you believe in spanking the kids??, if you are not in the same religion, which one will they be raised in,

you find capatability before marriage..calling it a contract belittles the committment, contracts can be broken, this is not a contract, its a committment, one you make before man and mostly before GOD almighty, if you do not believe in God, then so be it, but without him in it it will fail, becasue if God is ultimate Love, then lets learn from him what it means to really be in love, its a choice, not something to bargain with, in this life and times love and committment are thrown out the window for humanism, secular humanism is about what we feel is right, individually, not corporately. In my home I make the final decisions, but I talk to my wife about them first. Anyway my main point is life without God in it will be empty and full of disapointment.

Genealogy / Looking to make Polish Friends, find family and learn polish [7]

Patrycja,
I will have to find the name of the town I was in. Basically my friends father has been out of work for many years, his mother works in a state run store and makes 1200 Z. a month, for 6 days a week and 8 hours a day. Thier area ia depressed and many older men come in to the store and just drink Pivo.

When the Russinas left this farm belt they took everything with them and left the land in poor shape. Also with no equipment was hard for anyone to make a living, so many of them get gov't assistance. So, yes I do think that the Gov't could help out more to get the economy going better instead of taking so much out in tax. My friend I made him a business partner in my company so he could make money to send home. He is putting his sister through school and when the other one is ready to go to college he will do the same there.

It just broke my heart that they could not have modern convienences, not even a refrigerator. The roads are full of potholes and was very depressing to see. Is located on western side of Poland near the middle, about 4 hour drive from Berlin and 1.5 hr from Poznan.
