Language / Plural forms 2-4 and =>5 [30]

When would you use palców then, seeing as they're more than 5?
Would they be palcow if not cut off buy still on the hand?

Look at cinek's #8 post.

for a non-indicated # you might use palce

That's what I was talking about :)

but why do the dictionaries give me only palce, and not palców?

Because palce is plular form of palec. For egzample if you would see 8 cutted fingers on the sidewalk you would call them palce, not palcow.

Language / Rok vs. Lat [30]

Hmm, so going that way you say that there's no plural for 'czlowiek' too, or there's no past or future form for 'jestem' ???

I don't know about these words, but rok doesn't have plular form. That TV turney was "1 z 10", the most intelligent in polish tv.

Language / Rok vs. Lat [30]

Lata' is just plural of 'rok'.

Rok doesn't have plular form. Lata is a different word, which is only used as plular form of rok. You could use wiosen, or jesieni, instead of lata.

I remember a tv turney, and a question about plular form of rok. Some guy have said "lata", and it was wrong answer, because as I said, rok doesn't have plular form.

News / Poland will take half a century to catch up with the West [240]

Actually it will take 25 years to catch Germany. In 1997 Germany was 124% of eu average and Poland was 47. Now it's 111 vs 55. So it's 2% per year. If it stays that way, we will wait 25 years to catch Germany.
