Food / POLISH "CHEMICALISED" CONVENIENCE FOODS [23]

Home-made salads are easy to put together

True , but i tend to be dead lazy when it comes to eating...If they invented something that you could just press a button on the can and it cooked itself , and flung itself on a plate that would be the very thing for me....

Food / POLISH "CHEMICALISED" CONVENIENCE FOODS [23]

My weight gain program got ahead of itself

I was always lucky in my younger days to be able to eat like a horse and not get at all fat , partly due to my metabolism i guess , and the fact i was flinging motorcycles around a race track at warp factor six , its actually very hard work , not just a case of twisting a throttle as some may think...I did like my junk food tho...

Now in Poland i can,t afford enough food to get fat , and what i do eat is far more healthy than the stuff you buy in the UK...

News / UFO's in Poland ? Any sightings ? [15]

I thought they went in straight lines....not that i am an expert on them , but if they zig zagged you would keep losing your picture on satelite tv , and what would power them to move about...?

I love them though so I'd be a hypocrite to speak out against them :)

Yeah me too , i also like a big mac and fries now and then , as well as those yummy hot dogs they sell at some Orlen stations....Non of this stuff is very healthy i guess...

Life / Legally changing my Polish name to English one? [55]

Legally changing my Polish name to English one?

Keep your Polish name ,and be proud of it , just because us Brits can,t pronounce it is no reason to change it.... Your English friends will soon learn how to say it , and people who are not your friends , well who cares if they can,t say it...?

News / THOUSANDS OF YOUNG ISRAELIS FLOODING POLAND [93]

I don,t have any evidence myself that Jewish people hate the Poles , but if i were Jewish and read this thread i think i would hate Polish people too...

Food / POLISH "CHEMICALISED" CONVENIENCE FOODS [23]

From what i have seen the Poles eat far less rubbish foods than us Brits do...The other day i was at a friends house , and her 16 year old daughter feeling a bit snakish went and got a raw carrot from the fridge and ate it...Try offering that to a British teenager who is hungry , not a chance , they want a burger and fries , and a couple of packets of crisps...

Love / do polish girls consider a english man a good catch ? [126]

Ukrainian mail-oder brides

I had a number of young ( too young ) and pretty girls fall in love with me during my trips to Belarus , Russia , and Ukraine....I thought it was my charm and stunning goods looks , but you have gone and burst my bubble now.... sob sob..!

Love / do polish girls consider a english man a good catch ? [126]

anyone agree with me?

Completly , its not so much that girls from other countries are gold diggers , but English men are regarded by many as being gentlemen ( not always true of course ) whereas men from their own country maybe are not....Many Polish and Russian girls have complained to me that men from their own country regard women as property , won,t help around the house , and spend too much time drinking with friends , English men are considered not to be like this , so a young pretty girl may be more inclined to overlook the fact that her English catch is old , bald , fat , and lacking in social skills....

Travel / Best way to get from London to Olsztyn [7]

I see on my map that there is a rail line from Gdansk to l£awa , which is 32 kms from Olsztyn , but as i said i have no experiance of traveling on any train in Poland , so , can,t advise on how many times you need to Change , or if it is an easy journey or not... I am sure there will be somebody who is a expert on such matters tho....I have sent you a pm with contact details should you need them...

the celebrity set!

Its hard to think of Chris as a celebrity , although he is a big star in Germany now... I know him only as a nice decent guy who does not act like your typical star , and is just a down to earth person... I am still good friends with my ex girlfriend , so i get to news about Chris and his family now and then...

fly from Gdansk

I think you mean fly TO Gdansk , not from...? But in any case your best bet for such a journey is either pogo stick , or space hopper , if you can find one in good condition.....?

Seriously tho , Both places ( Gdansk , and Olsztyn ) are not so far from me , and i would be quite happy to pick you up at the airport , and take you to Olsztyn for the price of a bit of diesal fuel...

Normally i would be happy to do it for free , but my finances will not be in so good shape after my trip to UK to get another car , as mine is in need of replacement...

Of course it depends on when you want to go there , i collect the new car in about two weeks , and i am up to my neck in being part of a film at the end of may to begining of june , does this fit in with your plans...?

I do have the Harley of course , but it might not be your cup of tea , and it has absolutly no luggage space..!

The new car is a Jeep cherokee , so plenty of room for tons of luggage , quite comfortable , and being a diesal quite economic on fuel....

I can,t advise on travel by bus or train in Poland , as during the five years here i have never used them , my first experiance will be during the trip to Gdansk to get a flight to Liverpool to collect the car....Let me know what you think....?

Love / Gay Interracial Polish Dating [36]

Last time i was in the UK , i got talking to some Polish guy in a bar who for some reason decided to confess to me that he was gay , he said that his family who were also in the UK were not aware that he was gay...He said that if it was found out , his brother would kill him , no not get a bit angry , but actually kill him....The guy looked about 45 years old , you would think that his family might suspect something when a 45 year old guy has never had a girlfriend...?

UK, Ireland / 13,000 Polish births this year, in the UK [180]

And whats that?

Sometimes i guess its just good luck , or that they have skills that are really needed in Poland....My friend who is an auto electrician is having real problems to find a guy to work for him , as all the skilled auto electricians seem to have left his area of Polska....

But since it's just me doing the digging and I gotta hurry in case the bombs fall tomorrow, I have to make do with what's quickest and easiest.

Do you know something we don,t.....? sounds like you are expecting this to happen , should i start digging , and painting myself white....?

Life / What should Poland and Poles do, after first day of nuclear war? [133]

Ha...when i visited what is known as the dead zone in Belarus , the area deemed too dangerous for people to live there after the Chernobyl disaster we discovered that some of the underground shelters had radiation levels that went off the scale of the counters that were isued to people checking such things , you are not even supposed to enter this area , but seeing as nobody wants to stand guard on the road control points its not a problem...They do put concrete blocks in the road to deter people , but it does not stop nutters on motorcycles from riding around them...If you want to know what a nuclear devastated area looks like , then check out my friend Elena filtovas site , she risks a early death riding her motorcycle into the dead zone many times to tell the real story of Chernobyl...Her photo,s will sadden and amaze you..

your sanctuary

As a soldier i spent a bit of time in dirty wet holes....anyone who thinks its going to be fun should try it , not for days , or weeks , or even months , it will probably go on for years , or at least untill you die from some minor ailment , seeing as there will be no chemists , no doctors , and for sure no hospitals....
