I don't think u r really arguing with pgtx, £odz. U r saying sth quite different. I think pgtx would accept that there is a lack of morality or care in promiscuous types. It doesn't detract from the fact that condoms are still very much the preferred option.

I'm not obsessed with him at all, just impressed. I've said it b4 tho, Franek, there are forces more powerful than him and he will be bought and sold. I'm not into hippy radical stuff btw, definitely not my thing.

I'm a liberal, not as much of a social-democrat as Obama. I was equally impressed with the homework done by McCain in exposing Obama's foibles. Please Franek, I don't like labels or being put in a bag and marked.

Which, again, is my point Franek. There is nothing more dear to most of us than human life. When an evaluation comes up as to whether or not to go to war, people's lives are reduced to stats. Oh, shall we send 10,000 troops or 15,000 troops? Ah, who cares? It's only 5,000 extra. What a stupid attitude. There's Rummy saying that ONE American life should be valued highly. Well, no **** Sherlock. Of course, so why was there not more emphasis placed on war diversion strategy?

Then u shouldn't assume Pat19. Look at BB's posting above, that's what I was taking issue with. U read it ur way, I read it mine. I had the 'napalm heads' in my mind. How does it feel to see innocent children flee in fear of their lives? At least soldiers are big boys with guns, separated from their families for a certain period and not permanently like kids in Nam.

Sorry, u r very 'pyskatliwa' but I ain't standing for it.

Yeah, it's important to acknowledge that Wrocław, good point.

It's a pity that Fisherman's Friends (sweets/candy) discovered the 'suck 'em and see' slogan first. It would've made a great logo for Durex flavoured condoms. Still, sucking on a fisherman's friend has a funny ring to it.

Sorry, I had to lighten the thread up. Although I've never had HIV, there was a chance that I had it and it's petrifying. When u receive the all-clear, the feeling of relief is strong. I'll say no more than this.

I don't know about condom sales but what I do know is that, in Tesco, they have them both in the toiletries/cosmetics area and at the checkouts. Putting them at the checkouts is hardly attempting to dissuade people from buying and ultimately using them.

I c ur point Darius and I'm glad that there aren't too many devout Catholics on the go. It's better to temper the views of the church with other sources and make a decision thereafter. If people blindly follow the church and don't use contraception, then let them bear the consequences.

Sorry Sir, I wasn't born in ur time and I'm definitely not any kind of authority on WWII. I'm not much of a reader these days. I just drift along with what I think I know.

Humiliations happen in war Franek. A triumph for their superior planning on that one but the bigger picture looked very different. He could have destroyed England? Well, he screwed up too, funny that :)

Hindsight is 20/20 but don't over speculate. U can't tell me u were in Dunkirk too. Or r u just reading the various accounts that everyone else gets?

Well, Dawid kinda put paid to that idea above. We mobilised our units very quickly and repelled a number of attacks. The surge of invincibility petered out when resistance was stronger than expected.

And here is the big Saudi connection. They feel strong with American backing. U r right. They will happily punt off their oil in exchange for security guarantees. However, Hezbollah cannot be seen in too negative a light. They are a reactionary group, responding to Israeli atrocities. I'm with Scott Ritter on this one, he defends the cause of normal Israelis but recognises that politics have legitimised the cause of Hezbollah somewhat.

I think we can expect a major event b4 2 long, one involving Israel.

It seems to be a one-way process. U ask them for some coins and they just grunt. I'm usually pretty cooperative and offer to whip out the groszy to simplify things.
