Travel / What are nightclubs like in Warsaw...? [33]

Sure, there are tacky nightclubs which will attract the clones wearing H+M's finest...

Aha - so you went to Barbados before it closed......I loved the place. It was better than any Comedy Club

Doesn't the fact they all have Newcastle in their name tar them wit the same brush?

I suppose they share the same inability to understand what the locals are saying.

Feedback / What if Polishforums would not exist? [50]

Im rich do that a few times and I'll have a couple of million or more.

Good luck. There may be a bit of a cashflow problem in the short term as you have to pay all the deposits and wait for the things to turn up.

If youre so god damn rich lets see you make a decent donation to PF!!

Er, I have donated quite generously in the past.

As for the premium, I was just retelling the story I was given by the dealership. Seems like I was a little naive based on your figures.

It means that I could sell it tomorrow for £20k more than I paid for it new.

Back on topic. Without PF I would finish my book.

I think it would happen in another form anyway. The need to communicate based upon common interests will always be there and the web makes it easy to facilitate.

Is that serious enough PG?

History / How it was with Poland, Napoleaon and independence? [18]

Are you sure it's not a case of the Polish thinking the French think they gave the Polish independence?

I'm not sure of anything today. You could be right though. It could be a double bluff.

History / How it was with Poland, Napoleaon and independence? [18]

So the US was 'discovered' by a Polish explorer. fascinating. I hear Capernicus was from Bhutan. I read it in the Daily Mail.

It's the first time I've heard that the French think they gave Poland independence. Is it widely claimed or just in a few old school books? Old history books are great though. I seem to recall being taught that we lost to the Americans once. Raddishulous.

UK, Ireland / Sad or stupid - a Polish teacher killed whilst urinating on live rail [88]

please read the article

Look, this is setting a dangerous precedent. If we all start making opinions on here based upon facts where will it lead us.

Rule 29a clearly states that we are not allowed to engage our brains before beginning to type.

which BTW is very popular in Poland

But not as popular as in France where it is approaching the status of the number one participant sport. I recall the introduction of some special walls in Paris whose design guarantees a splash back for the offenders as part of the clean up Paris mayoral campaign.

UK, Ireland / Free sms's to O2 in Scotland?? [3]

There are quite a few providers who will let you send 'free' SMS messages. One category will make the recipient pay (eg Yahoo) and another where they will attache annoying marketing crap to the messages (loads of these).

Love / BLACK GUYS POLISH WOMEN [809]

Not me. He shouts too loud man. Next thing you know he'll be using bold, italics and all that other stuff besides capital letters. Only two grammatical mistakes though.

USA, Canada / Why aren't Polish people immigrating to Canada instead of the UK? [148]

The numbers of those who came here to pet "teddy bears" has diminished.

I hear the grizzlies have an inbuilt feeding frenzy trigger such that they know when the salmon will run and now when the American 'gee honey ain't that big bear cute' type of tourist will turn up.
