I had recieved some old -very old copies of documents Baptismals, marriages etc
from the church where my grandfather came, I still have some left that need
translating, (not to many). anyone read Russian? Plus, I have three old , very old
Polish ones, they are partially translated, but not all the way, some have Question
marks, I had a friend at work "gosia" do them for me but she said she couldnt read
it all, anyone here, or know someone whos seen the older baptismals , marriages
that would be able to read it?

I would scan them, and send via email.

PLus, anyone have any stories from their family from way back , I find these to be
the most interesting, helps me to understand better What they went thru.
Polish = Courage, preservance, good souls. Just my feelings.

I know russian. You can send them to me.
My grandmother was born in 1901. When she was growing up, part of Poland belonged to Russia and she was forbidden to speak Polish. She lived in the Lublin area. She said some Russians were very cruel. She had a Saint Bernard when she was about 10 years old and the Russian soldiers wanted to buy him from her, but she didn't want to sell him. He would walk to school everyday with her, and one day he didn't show up. The Russian soldiers stold him. She was devastated.

Krysia, that is sad, we forget how hard they had it, I try to remind my two that times
now are so much better then when my parents were growing up and their parents
twice as hard. yet they made it.

If you would :) translate those, they are in the old Russian, I was able to learn
how to read the month and date, "somewhat an accomplishment " lol

it was difficult because the sentences/words all run together to me.

I will send them tomorrow, my Daughter has a fever tonight, so I am keeping eye
on her for now.

But thank you so much, I will get these out to you :) big hugs :)

Thank you :)

I am worried a bit cause the Metabolic Disorder I was posting about in other thread
is what she has. weve had some rough hospital stays.

I just hope she can beat this fever or we are going in.

I know russian. You can send them to me.

Krysia, if you dont hear from me tomorrow, or next day or two, I will send
them, my youngest is pretty sick tonight, not sure if I will be home in next few
hours, hopeful we dont have to go any further then the local hospital.

Thanks for offering, I will get in touch with you soon as we get better .

My little 3-year old has a fever too. Took him to hospital, he likes to watch Tom and Jerry when he's sick, but the x has him for 5 days now and he's crying and feeling even worse because he wants to be with me. But the f^^cking American court system devides these little kids between the father who has no clue as how to care for a small child.

Sorry. I'm just upset and worried about my baby.

Krysia, I understand completely , no need to explain.
I just had mine get in the tub, and cooled her down, shes not throwin up
just a high fever, in the next few hours , if it goes back up that high, were
heading out, I know this is a battle I wont win, she needs antibiotics.

I hope your 3 year old feels better, something must be going around. I asked her
if there was any kids sick at school ,she said no, so it could have been from anywhere.

another sleepless night.

well, shes still with the fever, and tomorrow I think we will go to her drs.
I think its the flu. hopefully not, but her temp was very high last night, put her
in the tub twice to get the fever down.
