Guys, again deflecting from the thread...................questioning, demeaning, laughing at another races agony....isn't on...so its ok to brutalise and demean the millions of Polish people who lost their lives?

NO.

no test, no nothing providing you have a genuine interest, a sense of humour helps.
Its nice to have the irish on board, as a matter of interest two of my cousins live in ireland and they love it, didn't even want to return to poland for christmas(bit of a worry)

I have a few friends who are Irish and I enjoy there company.

Good, I've met a few guys off the board, been to Poland 3 times, will go back in the spring, enjoyed the country, the people and the differences....:)

Am also looking for a flat there.......plus we do have to try and reverse the flow of Polish to Ireland.....you know...Irish to Poland...!

Poland is at its moment of re-awakening...it won't be easy, said this many times before, but if Polish people hold firm to their values, see themselves as equals and engage, then the Polish eagle will soar just as the Celtic tiger roared!

Gone off thread......I do like to get a feel for the history, particularly this difficult period/relationship between a single race and a single nation.

I feel it displays the Polish soul/psyche....................am interested, not here just to throw stones...:)

Thanks for the insight, I admire people who show interest in polish affairs, I found the biggest problem facing non poles living in poland is the language barrier, and no matter how well you speak polish, people will detect an accent. The other one is understanding the polish mentality, nothing wrong with it, but just different.

Thats whats its all about...differences.......BUT...not letting them get completely in the way of living, being civilised and understanding that if everyone was the same....the suicide rate would soar overnight!!

Language is indeed the great barrier for anyone trying to integrate..........but Polish...is extremely difficult to the newbie!

Good, I've met a few guys off the board,

I think we should meet up, get a beer, and talk about the jews.

also looking for a flat there.......plus we do have to try and reverse the flow of Polish to Ireland.....you know...Irish to Poland...!

Lol, good luck with that.

Poland is at its moment of re-awakening...it won't be easy, said this many times before, but if Polish people hold firm to their values, see themselves as equals and engage, then the Polish eagle will soar just as the Celtic tiger roared!

Yes we must try to make Poland a better place

Gone off thread......I do like to get a feel for the history, particularly this difficult period/relationship between a single race and a single nation.

Many years ago when the Jews were kicked out of European Nations, The King Of Krakow at the time invited the Jews into Poland, saying it was a safe haven for the jews. So many jews came and setteled in different parts of Poland. One place which got a major Kosherizing was a town called Lejzask, which even to this day has a very famous jewish cemetary and a large jewish Population that pilgrimiages to this cemetary every year.

The jews in Poland were always considered outcasts by the Polish people and many Poles disliked them for centuries even this day. There have been many massacres of Jews by the Polish people, especially after the end of WW2. The last Polish President Kwasniewski was in fact an orthodox jew, who changed his name and dropped orthodox clothing so he could become president, if a jew ran for president, nobody would vote for him except the 40,000 jews in Poland. Kwasniewski apologized to the jews for what Poland did to them, even though we saved them from extinction centuries before when they had no home land to go to and many enemies after them. Pope John Paul II who was Polish apologized to the jews for Christian crimes against them, and also i beleive under him it was stated that the jews did not kill Jesus Christ, even though its quite obvious that it was.

Thats a brief history on jews living in Poland

Not a pretty sight then......is it?

Lots of religions were kicked out of lots of nations......what gave the Polish the edge in this hatred?

Is it the same as now...Poland...only for the Polish.......?

But you are now in the EU...all your young folk have gone to other countires to earn a living......should the rest of Europe treat Polish people like the Jews were once treated?.........short answer no.......

Not a pretty sight then......is it?

We saved them, then they began to leach off us, we realized why they were kicked out, and did the same.

Lots of religions were kicked out of lots of nations......what gave the Polish the edge in this hatred?

Example

Is it the same as now...Poland...only for the Polish.......?

Yes Poland for the Polish, Ireland for the Irish

But you are now in the EU...all your young folk have gone to other countires to earn a living......should the rest of Europe treat Polish people like the Jews were once treated?.........short answer no.......

They should send them back, like they should send the pakis back to pakistan and everyone else to wherever they came from.

No i have given examples of truth, so maybe truth is antisemetic, but there must be a reason they have been kicked out of every country they have ever been in.

lol jews are nomadic and will settle and do well where ever they are and thats a fact, thats why I dont worry too much about antsemetic comments

But why were they kicked out of virtually every country they settled in?

Bojownik

Im guessing you're a yank??? so know very little about history since you have none of your own or are you a Polish person who moved to Poland two generations ago!

But why were they kicked out of virtually every country they settled in?

I live in Manchester and we have many generations of Jews living here all very wealthy and very happy thank you very much....

its not a religion its a way of life, jews stick together people dont understand this so they fear it then hate it, but jews have never changed over many centuries...what does that tell you...there are many different levels those that are a orthodox and those that adapt and look no different....you must understand that we are talking about the oldest religion one I may add that catholsism was based on for without peter there would be no catholic church you would do well to remember this.

Just a quick comment before I move on, The Irish are are great nation, and they have largely built the australian way of life, one thing that stands out is that they are able to laugh at themselves (unlike polish people). I have never heard a bad word against the irish in australia..

I don't know why people who have it good uproot and live somewhere else, normally if you like a place you visit it once a year on vocations.

I think a lot of people who have left to fufill some sort of fantasy, end up regretting there move, hence I known a few people who have suffered a nervous breakdown and one who committed suicide.

well wel well. I don't think that the jewish race is any different from any other race. I think that it is always the Jewish extremists who want to go further along the line. Now these jewish extremists have a lot of crazy goals if you've ever read ZION'S LAWS. The bad thing is that they control the majority by shitting in their heads how bad jews were mistreated in European countries up untill the WWII. The word anti-semite is being tossed here and there to shut some people up. But the truth is never going to be silenced for long. I deal with all respect wiith all jews who have peaceful mindsets. But the idea that what happenned to us has to be done to others and the whole world is against us. THAT IS FLAT WRONG. For moree info visit ww.davidduke.com

The Polish people and the Jews suffered at the hands of the Nazi regime. It wouldn't make sense for Poles to have anti-semitic views. Yet, many things in the world don't make sense. The Holocaust did not only kill 6 million Jews. It also annihilated many hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Poles also.
