Inka 1946.... Polish Heroine

There seems to be more than the usual war films on TV at the moment. Obviously to coincide with the special anniversary/commemorations going on around now.

Among these was yesterday's Inka 1946, which is about a seventeen year old girl. Although to my mind she had the strength of a lion and was a courageous woman.

I'm just wondering if the folks on the forum can give a little insight. The film shows brutal images, obvious abuse of power, failures in the justice system and little compassion.

I would like to see that film.
Tragic story...unfortunately just one of many many tragic stories of that era.

Was anyone ever brought to justice for the state murder of Danuta Siedzikówna or was she just another victim of the Polish communist regime that no one is held to account?

Since the collapse of the Polish communist regime has anyone ever been tried and convicted for these state crimes or is it all brushed under the carpet by succesive post-communist 'communist-in-disguise' Polish governments?

Has anyone ever received compensation from the Polish state for past crimes of the Polish communist regime?

These are all tragic stories of post-war Poland that deserve more attention in the 'west'.
