Hi Everyone,

I need some help researching my (Polish) wedding dress.

I want to find images / designs of Wedding dresses that were worn by Polish Girls and Women in the Early Centuries. I am not interested in anything modern at all.

If anyone has some time to help me find these types of dresses - it would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks!!

xoxo,
Chickie

Thank you. Do you know what century these dresses date back to? They look like 19th (later century).

It would be nice if we could find very early period - 12th, 13th, 14th centuries too.

How cool!

Frankly, I have no idea.

It would be nice if we could find very early period - 12th, 13th, 14th centuries too.

I don't think they had cameras back them - but they probably had some paintings...

yes paintings and sketches, drawings - that's what I'm looking for.

I don't think these are freely available online - I guess you'd have to visit some museums based in Poland to find exactly what you're looking for...

I managed to find one so far...

kismeta.com/diGrasse/WomansDress.htm

I can be sure there are more.

I'm focusing upon 12th-17th century.

More sources would be helpful...

I found a nice website:

miedzia.ch.pwr.wroc.pl/wks/stroje.php

Go for 'stroje' and then you should be able to find what you want.
