Suwalki - Buckiewicz Polish names...

My ancestors were named Buckiewicz and came to the USA in 1901 from Suwalki. Does anyone know if there is a Buckiewicz still living in Suwalki? If so, I would like to contact them.

There are 31 Buckiewiczes in Poland, 13 of them residing in the Suwałki district.

I am hoping that some of those people are my ancestors, but I am at a loss as to how I could contact them. I have many questions about them that stem from old family stories. Unfortunately, my 88 year old father is the last Buckiewicz left here. He was one of ten children, the youngest, and all family records were lost many years ago. He too would like to know a few things.

The problem is you have to specify a person by first and last name, then they ask him/her whether they wish to be contacted. I don't know how good they are about answering enquiries.

Indeed, a personal visit would be most desirable and advantageous. Sorrowfully, it is beyond my means to do so at this time. Additionally, as I stated above I am sadly neither fluent in the Polish language nor literate in the Polish word. Thus, I am restricted to working in my native English.
