My great grandparents on both sides came from Poland. I am not sure what is beyond that. Maybe someone out there can help me find some kind of info about my family. All I know is that my great grandparents came over very young in their teens. hey moved to Pennsylvania, USA

Death records, SS application, ship manifest (after 1906), birth records for their children & church records are good sources that may contain birth town information.

Do you know where & when your great grandparents died? You can obtain their death records from the town or county clerk.

This site willl help you with addresses for vital records.

Merged: ZABA, POREMBA, OGOSTALEK surnames - are they common in Poland?

Is ZABA, POREMBA, or OGOSTALEK common names in Poland. I am looking for any sort of info on any relatives of mine

My mom says that great grandmother Mary Kocon was from warsaw. I guess till she passed she wrote to many Poremba relatives. My great grandfathers relatives we are not sure of. His name was Jozef Poremba. They came over to the US teenagers. Not together though

no they settled in Pennsylvania
