Searching for Maluka roots, and trying to find out if my husband is Polish or Russian or Lithuanian - family comes from area north of Lida (Nacza). The family speaks Polish but the area belonged to Poland for only a very short time. When did the Poles settle in Lida area? And why?

I think some members have been helped quite well with such matters before, but I don't know.

Maybe more responses in the morning, try float the thread back to the top then?
