Thanks for the replies, all.

I can see how this topic could be perceived as "asinine" but I still think it's pretty neat to find out if I ever went to say Gniezno, would I blend in a little bit (and not stand out too much).

Thanks again!

Matryoshka, why is it so important for you to look Polish? I'm just being curious.

Matyjasz, it's not important. As I've mentioned multiple times already I am just curious.

Matryoshka

You look very Polish, your facial features, hair and everything else. If you wouldint of said your alittle bit Irish, most of these people wouldint be saying it, and even if they did, I would say they belong to a Keltic forum not a Slavic one.

Your dad is a Wisconsin native? 3/4 of WI is made of germanic people, ex-german, dutch, austrian, danish, swiss. The other 1/4 is polish and keltics-Irish/english/scottish. Polish being the majority of the 1/4 though. Its safe to say your dad is prolly mostly german/germanic. My polish family comes from WI, well after they left Polska. Id say your dominantly a polegerm like me. We have similar nose, except your is cute ;)

That'll be the Irish genes

Says who? The nordid and germanic regions have this problem aswell.

Haha. I'll give this another shot.

My family is Slovakian, Austrian, Polish, English and Irish on one side, Native American and English on the other.

So, do I look like any of those?

In the 1st pic, you look very Bohemian-(austrian, czechslavokian). With a bit of English touch...

Says who?

Scientists! People of Irish descent are more prone to skin cancer for that very same reason, they have a lower melanin count.....the Fitzpatrick chart, breaks down skin types into six types, number 1 being most at risk from buring, this is also known as Celtic type, number 2 is known as light skinned european, Nordic and Germanic people would fall under this category.

I agree they make #1 on the chart, but...
Kind of what I said isent it?-

The nordid and germanic regions have this problem aswell.

To simply say this women has light skin and burns easy is an "Irish trait" or the irish in her, is underestamated. Its an Irish trait, but its also a nordid, germanic and polish one and could just as easily come from those genes too...

Matryoshka--as a fellow Pole, I would say that I can definitely see Polish characteristics in your face. Your nose and cheekbones look Polish to me but your eyes don't seem all that Polish (maybe a good thing :). In my experience Polish people have smaller eyes like your great grandmother.
