Last name "Klinko"

I have always been told that my family name is Polish, can anyone help me find out. I have searched numerous articles and spoke to my relatives, all to no avail. Any help would be great. Thank you for your help.

Since your name ends in 'ko' it is very likely that it is of Ukrainian origin.

Really, can you find anything else on that or point me in a direction that may help me.

I had a step uncle whose name also ended in 'ko'. I guess somewhere in the past there must have been a Ukranian connection.


As far as I know my uncle condsidered himself to be Polish.

See this is what I would like to find out, I was always told the same, that we were of Polish descent.
