National Beverages (napoje?) of Poland

cześc, I'm fairly new here so please be gentile!

Being English, I am obviously a firm lover of Tea, mostly enjoying the traditional (Indian) type but also Chinese Green tea with lemon.

I am aware that Poland have some of the best beers in the world, but are there any non-alcoholic drinks that you enjoy in a similar way to England's stereotypical love of Tea?

I know its an odd question, but when learning another language/culture it is natural to look for the foreign alternatives, I cannot imagine life without Tea or some kind of replacement.

If not, are there any traditional meals I should know about?

dziękuję.

Kem.

Tea is a Polish love affair too, from what I can tell.

You surely do not have to give up tea in Poland. While things have changed a lot in larger cities in the last couple of years, one may have a challenge in some locations to find good coffee, but tea is everywhere. Learn the word, herbata.

And Poland meals include wonderful fruit juices. My favorite that I can't buy in the state is black current.

And also in traditional Polish cooking there are marvelous fruit juice drinks made from fruits such as fresh cherries in the summer.

any polish store should carry them. i see all of the shoppes in chicago have it amongst all the other varieties.

Orenżada
tea
kompot (compote)
and eveclear infusions are very popular in PL

if you want to find out about food, there is at least one thread about traditional meals in PL somewhere around here.

We have no Polish stores. We do have a significant Russian immigrant population so there are stores that feature Russian food, but alas the black current juice is not there.
