I've never really seen this one mentioned here. But this is one of my favorite things to get at the Polish store besides kabanosa:

Kubus

Just don't drink too much of it or else you'll turn orange. :)

I've seen it a lot, but what actually is it? I'm assuming tartrazine, juice that's seen more factory than fruit and excessive sugariness. But I may be wrong. I prefer fresh apple juice to go with vodka.

Does it put hairs on your chest? It looks (from the sight of that bear on the label) like it might make you hairy all over.

I would say it is a children's drink.
There are a few flavours and mixed flavours.

I'm not too keen on it.

Fine with me :)

What is it the Polish slang word for the chaser you have with wódka?

I can't for the life of me remember...

Kubus is more of a health drink for kids. Carrot flavour is quite popular. Of course, some adults drink it. Nothing like in Japan though. Wow, check out a drinks machine there, filled with stock cures for hangovers and salubrious offerings. I often filled up with a couple before an 8-hour shift.

I don't know, but it's the best way of drinking vodka I've found. Not with this thread's eponymous beverage, mind.

Total agreement from me! I will ask my mates what that word is...I'm sure it's something like: papiszka but I might be getting mixed up.

:)
