"bulbinek" ?

Hello!

I'm trying to locate an old family recipe - something in the order of potatoes, mashed and mixed with other things and pressed into a cake pan for cooking. The closest I can get to the name is "bulbinek."

Does this ring any bells for anyone, or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely? Is it Russian rather than Polish? (The geographic line was relatively arbitrary in those days, and I can't ask Grandma any more, or even Aunt Tille; they're unfortunately long gone.)

Thanks for your help.

"Bulbinek" sounds sor of Polish, but have no idea what it could be.

The only thing I can think of by your description is Potato Rosti. Its similar to Placki but much bigger.
