I'm hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on a little problem. Two weeks ago I posted a parcel from Melbourne, Australia, to a Polish friend who is staying Jastrzebia Gora. So far (Tuesday, 25th March, Melbourne time) she hasn't received it. Usually when I post a letter or parcel to Warsaw it takes no longer than a week - ten days at the most - to arrive. Is a two week (plus) delay to regional Poland uncommon?
Polish postal services - parcel delay sent from Australia
U have to remember that it is Easter here and it's quite a long period. I waited a long time to receive photos from Scotland too. Hang on for another couple of days and take it from there.
Thanks, Seanus - though I imagine the distance between Scotland and Poland is perhaps a little shorter than that between Australia and Poland. Nice sheep by the way (I'm originally from NZ).
Things do go missing sometimes with the Polish postal service. It might arrive and it might not. When the Polish postal staff see a foreign parcel with foreign stamps it might make them think of redelivering it to themselves! Sadly, it does happen.

I'm convinced it does. And a little too often for my liking.
A sheep appreciater, great!! Unfortunately, Michał and Wrocław are right that they may misappropriate ur parcel. They know better than I do but u r probably on safe ground. U went through the proper channels and will probably find that the intended recipient gets it, not a random benefactor. Fingers crossed

Yes, well, that's what is worrying me: customs regulations here in Australia require a detailed declaration of contents to be fixed to any parcel sent overseas, so I had to specify the chocolate (perhaps temptation in itself to any hungry postal worker) and the iPod I had lovingly loaded with a gigabyte of Bach for my beloved. And now I fear that the parcel will never reach its destination. Still, for the moment, I'm hopeful. The parcels to Warsaw have always arrived intact. I'll keep you posted (pardon the pun).
You had an ipod in there??? If it ever gets there they will have to pay a custom duty fee for it and it's pretty high.
Yea that could be the issue. If you actually listed the Ipod it could be stuck at customs at the airport. I had used clothes I shipped from the states to Poland get slapped with a custom duty. Yes my old raggy clothes. For future shipments best to send it through DHL or UPS. That will at least keep it in one system, and not the wonderful Poczta Polska. They are a wonderful service let me tell ya. It took them 2 weeks to get a letter from one side of Krakow to the other.

that was Feb 23rd.
What year? While it might be a silly question elsewhere it's not silly when it comes to Poczta Polska.

I sent a parcel to Czernica on 17th March and still not there even thought I sent through Aust Post using EMS tracking system spending $91.00 on postage. EMS lost track of it in England/France? I had to state the goods and value? kids clothes, chocolate, books, toys I did not fill in value part. They have now declared missing with no idea. I would like to still send another parcel but how and through who. Is there any system that is 100% guaranteed?
