Jobs in Gdansk for English speakers

Hi,

i am considering relocating from the UK to the TriCity area.

Unfortunately I don't speak Polish. I'm finding it quite difficult to find any positions that I can apply for.

Can anybody help?

It is going to difficult to find a job, at arms length. Consider moving to PL for a period of two months, in order to establish contacts and test the water.

I didn't manage to find a job without speaking Polish in Gdansk area and I've been here for over a year now.
Good luck to you!

This is weird. Poles who go to the UK or US are expected to speak English if seeking a job other than laborer. Why is it so difficult to understand that in Poland they want you to speak Polish? You're not gonna have it easier just because English is a world language, you're in a different country.

Why is it so difficult to understand that Polish is not exactly a world language? Whether you like it or not, there are still many firms in Poland hiring foreigners because of it.

We're not talking about the world we're talking about Poland. It's fully understandable that Polish companies in Poland expect people to speak Polish.

Yet again you are showing how little you know about Poland: none of the Polish companies which have employed me ever expected me to speak Polish.

Perhaps it might be best if you Americans stuck to talking about your own country and didn't try to lecture us about Poland.

Ja jestem Polakiem

Yes that is why foreigners can almost only expect to find English teacher jobs in Poland. Shows how much you know

Indeed it does: most of the jobs I've found in Poland were not teaching English. But hey, thanks for giving us your expert American view on what our country is like.

Yes you're always right in your tiny little mind, keep telling yourself that, hahaha

No, Boy, I am right and that fact is proven by the experiences of people who do actually live in Poland and do have experience of getting jobs here without speaking much Polish. Of course, given that you do not live here and have never got any kind of a job here, it's not really surprising that you are completely wrong about getting jobs in Poland and what Polish companies expect.

"we are unemployed in Ireland"!!!! Are things so bad that you have to move to Poland? If nothing in Ireland, why not going to GB? Around the corner, same language and I'm sure ;) better conditions and salaries than in Poland

Many employers these days look to sourcing companies. That might be a path to take.
