It depends - do you have experience, knowledge and qualifications?
Or does it just sound like an easy way to make a bit of dosh and you are a 'native speaker'?
What does 'afraid' mean in English?
Why do we say 'it is time we were gone' when you have not done that yet?
Is this verb intransitive?

These are typical questions from a learner.

Is 60 zł for a 60-minute English lesson by a native speaker (at the tutor's hoime) low, high or about average?

Low, suspiciously low even (assuming the person is qualified and experienced). I used to charge double that ten years ago.

On the other hand, an unqualified and inexperienced person might have trouble getting half as much, if they are able to find students at all. Some ads for private lessons by native speakers on Gumtree are for as little as 20 PLN an hour, at the students residence or place of business.

A guy who worked in an english speaking country as a waiter ( currently is an intern at the company I work ) is chargind 25 PLN for 60 minutes, so I guess that's why the 60 PLN/hour is not so bad in my opinion.Of course it's not the same as getting lessons from an experienced native speaker but still it is causing the prices to fall.

I charge 70zł for 60 minutes and there is no shortage of takers. I am English and live in Wrocław. I know some people who charge 80-100zł. In my experience, there is a dearth of good, qualified, experienced native speaker teachers here. I've been in Wrocław 15 years and there may be a lot of schools with teachers, but not a lot of good ones.

That's a fair price. I charge 60zł for 60 minutes. I always empathise with the learner and don't want to impinge too much on his/her usually meagre student budget.
