Companies like Deloitte, Credit Suisse etc have their staff made from top unis like Cambridge Maths and Physics degrees a B.A from Cambridge in that and you'll still be looked down on by PHDs. Brownian eqations and derivatives go hand in hand. If you went in with a degree in microbiology and asked for a job they'd laugh in your face. Retail banking (loans,mortgages,savings account) any half arsed degree can get you in.
