Most Attractive Maid? Is a picture required with some job applications in Poland?

A friend gave me the address for a cleaning service website where people (99.9% women) can post their services. I was blown away at how much it looked like a dating website with pictures of these women in various positions to show their talent for cleaning. Why would one need to see what the person who is coming to clean their home or office looks like? While living in Poland, I noticed that a picture was required with some job applications. Is this widespread? Is it legal? Ethical?

It's probably not an illegal business practice; just very misleading. You can bet money the maid you pick to do your cleaning, won't be one pictured in their website. She will most likely end up being some old sea hag instead.

Just the general practice of having to show a picture to get work is a little.... Can't put my finger on it.
