New visa to Poland (my current one is expiring in 2 months). For how long to return to US?

Hello,
I've got a little problem. Within 2 months my visa is expiring. For how long do I have to come back to the States in order to apply for a new one? I heard that I'd have to wait 180 days before applying for a new one. Do you know any legal references to that information? I was looking around but I couldn't find anything. I really would appreciate your help =)

Btw, sorry for my mistake earlier and posting this message in the wrong thread ;)

Thanks for your help :)

I had a similar issue, but I didn't even have a visa to start with. My future father-in-law was able to straighten things out, but I also found visajourney.com to be helpful, information-wise.

Are you in Poland now? Are you American? If so, the best place to get answers to your questions is the US embassy in Warsaw. Call them soon.
