Anyone ever see an American film about Germany winning the war and an ageing Hitler meeting JFK. Forgot the title as it was quite a few years back.

Did you ask for reasons to back up that statement? and if so what was the reply?

No, but it sounds interesting.

Forgot the title

Fatherland. It's based on the book with the same name.

Rutger Hauer makes a damn fine Nazi! :)

I as a German get to hear that quite often too...but it's more about moaning in the same sentence about to many muslim/third world immigration to Europe/USA...Europe still being the world #1, GB still having it's empire and so on.

I then try to tell them that while it's true but then it wouldn't had been Hitler...he just couldn't help himself. He busted it fair and square! :/

That would mean that Polish people in America do not get a complete WWII education.

Neither do Americans. Fortunately some of us know how to read are are interested in history. I think polskisoldier88 is out to lunch on this one.

He's a blond Dutchman after all :)

And I'm a quiet supporter of Germany, but it applies to the World Cup, not wars (unless we would be allies, hehe).

I am Polish-American, 57 years old...I have never heard a Polish-American say that...But, I once read a piece in a regional Polish-American paper, published out of New Jersey, that I thought at the time was 'anti-semitic'...I hadn't studied history then like I have now...I also had a Jewish wife...So, when I read this article I think 'What?!'

But article basically voiced complaints about getting blame for German built camps on Polish soil...It also detailed Jewish behavior in supporting installation of Communists and Soviet Union in Poland, and general Jewish Zionist/Communist agitation, subversion.

Yet, I never hear Pole saying 'Germany should have won'.

As far as some 'right wing revisionist' Americans, they have only a limited knowledge of Poland and Slavs in general...When they glorify Hitler, I tell them he should have stayed an artist...The world would have been saved immense suffering and killing...Remember, something like 12 million Germans died before and after WWII...This a leader?

If i should be honest...

Something is wrong with the Polish americans in The US. They run around screaming White power and they hate jews.

Don't tell me it's a lie since iv'e been in the US a couple of times, and seen it with my own eyes...

Ps.
The Brits are still bigger racists then the Poles!!!

They don't scream White Power. Their dislike of Jews is simple - their grandparents were likely no fans of Jews and thus they have the same attitude passed down. Really, the US Polonia is just an example of Poland in 1930 - stuck in time.

Remember as well - the lot that emigrated in the 1920's/1930's weren't exactly the elite of Polish society.

That's true. The Poles that come to the US do change a lot. Now they are in America, a country where they always dreamed to be, they make dollars, their dreams come true and they look down at Poland, at their country, overstay their visas and don't return back to Poland, which not only is illegal and criminal, but also they become greedy and obnoxious not only in the US but towards other countries. If they do succeed on becoming US citizens, they give the US a bad rep by doing the things they do in Poland, such as stealing, not obeying the laws and lying.

personally- i reckon germans as much more civilised than russians- and yes, *if* i would *have to* choose, I would rather be under german occupation. but, having to choose between them (i.e. Germans and Russians during 2ww) is like choosing between cholera and black death :|

Yeah funny that most of police officers in USA are ppl with Polish ancestry. Stop lying Tygrys! Polonia in USA isnt more rasist than white American protestants of English or Scotish ancestry and dont commit more crimes than any other nation in USA.

No its like choosing death or communism. Mind that Nazi Germans wanted to exterminate something like 3/4 (I dont remember the number) of Polish population until 1952. The rest was supposed to be cheap labour force (slaves).

I find that very hard to believe.

M-G recently I've seen a doc about children of SS-mans. Those adult ppl were telling their memoirs about war time and after. And the son of Hans Frank said that when he was young adult he used to hitch-hike a lot. And when he was telling his surname ppl were asking is he is the son of Hans Frank. He would say yes and ppl were overwhelmed and cheerful that they were giving lift to son of Hans Frank. There was only a one case when he was thrown out from the car. Only one exeption!

Well I think its politically incorrect to be openly rasict in Germany (as in other European countries) so they hide their real feelings and opinions.

Who wanted the signature Arbeit machts frei from Auschwitz? Some Swed...

I find that very hard to believe.

Why not?
some reason to consider:

Lower taxes.
Better roads.
Strict immigration policy.
No need the work permit in Germany.
Free train ticket to Germany or Austria.

Here's a few more:

- restriction and proscecution of all political opponents
- violence in the streets
- no freedom of speech
- being considered a rogue state abroad
- killing of disabled (yes also when it's your kid)
- disappearing of ppl overnight
- your kids being abducted and brainwashed by the HJ

and there is more.

M-G (still doesn't believe that the majority in Germany wants Hitler cs back)
