Any Brits got married in Poland after getting divorced in the UK? Decree Absolute?

Hi guys

Have any of the British forum users got married in Poland after being divorced in the UK? I am getting very mixed advice about the validity/wording used on a UK Decree Absolute. It seems some of the Polish registry office do not like it! In particular I am having problems with the Krakow office. Any advice would be very welcome.

Why on earth did you tell them that you were divorced?

The certificate of no impediment would come through fine if you weren't married, and Poland would be none the wiser as to your previous marriage.
