Comparing expats in one country to economic immigrants in another doesnt really really work.

I guess I just imagined all your "Paris" comments. and being told I was too stupid to get them.

Not by me, though. Well, you still don't get it and it's hysterical :)
But since you need jokes to be explained to you: this is called sarcasm. It's different than name-calling. Do you have any funny bone in your body at all?

You did not mean it in a funny way at all so don't try to backtrack now. You meant it as an insult. Honestly is not your forte.

Well, I'm also a xenopbobic sexist..

This is where ur wron grzegorz, if all the Poles left, the Bulgarians, Romanians, and soon croatians would take their places. I have nothing against Polish ppl but I hate the fact that they think they have contributed more to the British Isles than any other race when in fact they make very little contribution. I know there are a few, but I could prob count on one hand the number of powerful Poles in the UK

Is English your first language? Somebody doesn’t like England, I figured. I think we should vote on this burning issue.

I am quite glad that lots polish people will leave Uk. It means that we will become one of the average not-noticed groups of emigrants.

Maybe there were/are too many Poles in Uk but I an fed up with narrow-minded,racist remarks of some English people- often lliving on benefits or frustrated as living in rented house with debts on credit cards and gloomy future.....Sorry to moan but these two groups have always most to say.

Can you honestly say if Poland was full of immigrants that they wouldn't be treated the same as Poles are now treated in England? I am not justifying poor treatment of people but I want to see if there is any honesty here.

I think that they would. England is losing its identity with mass emigration but.... there are lots jobs in hotels, restaurants, farms...that English don't want to do

( prefer benefits) so we were easy solution for you.
I think that England needs emigration but controlled one. So why be nasty to Polish ( if you opened borders) not blame your liberal, left-wing government?

Thanks for the honesty. But as you said it would be the same here and probably will be when more asians and africans immigrate in. The workers needed for the Euro events will probably bring a ton of Chinese workers and I know they will be treated the same as Poles are in UK and probably by people that have been to the UK and know how it feels. It is how people are.

I think that it will be the same in Poland. But there is only certain group who are the worst racist. I am afraid very similar people will be in Poland- unhappy, greedy, frustrated, narrow-minded....I just avoid them in both countries.:-)

Yes, you are.

Sorry to moan

Here is the thing: stop moaning and feeling sorry for yourself. It's not gonna help you. Be aware that world is full of ignorants (and, well, we are ignorants too when it comes to sensibilities of other nationals sometimes). Educate yourself about most often repeated remarks, prepare answers and kill them with your knowledge. Some humor will help too. If you want to take it to a higher level learn about their history, economy, society etc. and drop some comparison comments: that always leave them speechless. Guarantee. Stay current at national and local events. And learn better English than mine. That’s going to help. Being frustrated and resort to name calling in desperation will not. And that's an advise of a Polish girl living abroad for many years. Good luck.

I LOVE THE POLES being in my country and it makes me sad when I read angry guys who have decided on the age old strategy of 'blame the minority'.

The fact is the average Pole has 4 years more education/training than a Brit of similar age.
They have a better attitude to work.
They may not feel like the life of the party EVERY DAY but they usually do not turn into obnoxious, shouting thugs when they meet disagreement. They are mature enough to accept problems and socially motivated to not ruin the atmosphere for everyone in the same enviroment.

Why come onto this forum if your only interest in Poland and the Poles is to scapegoat them for all the problems that greedy businessmen and corrupt politicians have caused you?

Just don't follow the stereotypes, and you will be o.k :)

polish people should
involve more in the english culture

Why? Most of these people are only there for a short while to make some cash, and head back home. And most of the ones who are there to stay, integrate quite well into society.

I've always had great respect for the Poles....
The fact that many Polish women are gorgeous, funny and intelligent is not the point.
