Travelling from NI to Poland

I drive there 3 or 4 times a year with my wife, head for the border crossing at Cottbus/Olszyna where you'll be met by an extremely bumpy 2 lane highway and follow it to Wroclaw, it's well signposted.

From Calais to the German/Polish border, via Hanover, Koln, Dusseldorf, Dresden, Potsdam etc is about 12/13 hrs at an average 90mph with a few petrol and toilet stops. Timing makes a big difference if you're the only one driving, I always aim to cross the border at about 7am and that gives the best driving conditions through Germany and Poland and you'll arrive in time for a Polish breakfast at the border service station.

it's only bumpy for 60km. And besides I noticed a couple of weeks ago that it has undergone improvement recently. They have repainted the white lines on a 20km stretch.
