TAX FREE VAT Refund For Tourists in Poland - How To Actually Collect It?

So, after buying an item for 300 PLN or more, a non-resident, such as a tourist, can get a refund of all VAT paid, in theory:

Getting the paperwork at the retail site, and getting the stamps on the paperwork by Polish customs is easy enough. The trick is the next step, which requires that someone in Poland present the paperwork to get the refund. (The last time I tried this, I left the document in the box at the airport, and never got my refund.) Global Blue is one such agent, which charges a nice commission. There is more information in Polish here:

Provided that one actually has a bank account in Poland, what needs to be done as the last step to get the refund?

I found this site, but must admit that final step is a bit vague. It says " To the document there should be attached the receipt from the cash register issued by the seller."

"The tax refund for the travelers is executed in Polish zlotych by the seller or by the entity which area of activity is to make the refund. The refund may be done in the form of cash payment or transfer order, crossed check, or payment card."
