Poland in photo riddles

You have accidentally mentioned its name while discussing another riddle.

Aaargh! I'm sure I have mentioned many place names over loads of pages by now.

Porąbka Uszewska.

At last! Not sure if anyone else would have got it, but I certainly wouldn't have. Although I've read about plenty of religious sites trying to guess!

I will have to ponder over the new tower riddle. It looks like it will be tough to guess.

Pawian, isn't that the Bismarck Tower on Wielka Sowa?

edit: no, it's not that one, but I'm sure it's a Bismarck Tower of some sort.

In Lower Silesia region, again.

Bismarck in the sense of German production - yes.

Not Wielka Sowa because I already showed its tower and dolno guessed it.

You said you would visit it in the future. :)

Yes, at last! :) Prisoner Camp Museum in Łambinowice, with part of the cemetery devoted to Germans kept there after the WW2 when the camp was operated by the Polish staff.

Where is this town hall?

Waiting to throw water over female victims on Easter Monday.

Rare to see it these days, though, at least as an unprovoked attack.

I've never seen or heard of anything like that before :(

I thought you would guess it right away because it is a quite conspicuous building in that town.

Hint - there are other pretty wooden buildings there. :)

I don't know Poland east of the river ;) I've visited some places, like Bieszczady a few times, Kraków a couple of times and Lublin, but in general, I don't know much about it. Though it gives me an idea for posting a riddle of my own... may I? ;)

Sorry, no.
But thanks for the info, I heard the name Ludźmierz before but never visited it, now I am looking at the place and it is quite popular.

Hint - my place isn`t far.
Hint 2 - This isn`t a female.

Sorry, no.

If anything you are getting me to look through all of my pictures, which is great as you know most of the time we take pictures and never look at them again.

Thanks for the thread it's fun.

You can also ask someone. E.g., Dougpol. :)

Lol:)

Dougpol. :

I had to go back there recently to help a pal. I refer the forum to my earlier posts. My now grown up daughter declined to accompany me:)

You didn`t provide her with enough attractions there so that she could bear the place in mind for life. :):)

Prisoner Camp Museum in Łambinowice

I did originally wonder if it was this place, but I wasn't sure about the German names on that plaque, especially with some of them being female. There were Germans buried there after the Franco-Prussian war, but I didn't realise there were more recent graves. Did you get to look around the whole camp? I think it is quite spread out.

Who

Mikołaj. Typical, that was going to be my next riddle. I have a photo taken at almost the same angle, plus one from the front. But do you know what is slightly unusual about the station it's taken in front of?

There are a few MiGs-15 here and there in Poland. Once I saw one in front of a school.

Do you want a location of yours?

Yes, we also visited the oldest part from WW1 with French POWs` graves. As for the post-war German burial place, it was still not finished when we saw it. Today it might look a bit different.

Why do you ask?

But do you know what is slightly unusual about the station it's taken in front of?

No, I didn`t know it that in 2015 they opened a public library there. I had to google it. Good! ):

Of course! It's time for me to return the pain :)

In Łuków. But they say that Łuków is in Podlasie and that`s east of the Wisła River, where you don`t go? :):)
