Wow, Pali, your performance is so strong compared to my careless one. Salute. I am serious now. :):):):)
But, may I ask a few questions?
After Breslau became Polish the Commies destroyed the facade to get rid of all German traces.
Why do you say Commies? Some time ago, in another thread about restoration you used Poles.
The modern building to the left was built in 1930 and was typical for the time, when several architects of the Bauhaus school planned to rebuilt the entire square.
When I ask a question about this one, should I say: "Why did Nazis plant such a modern building in the Medieval square?" or "Why did Germans plant.... ? "
The place was later renamed to "Bluecher Platz" after a big statue of the Prussian general by Christian Daniel Rauch. This very valuable statue was also destroyed by the Commies.
Why valuable? Statue is just a statue, it can be made anew, no big deal.
