Hi I was in krakow last year and on return bought myself a decent
supply of cigarettes, the saving was that good i have decided to fly
into modlin and stock up again, where is the cheapest place near the
airport to buy cigs or tobacco, only planning on a 4 hour turnaround,
is it easier just to buy in the airport shop ? is there a limit on
what they will sell me

I am not sure but would imagine there would be a limit if you buy in the airport shop.

but there will also be an import limit wont there?

Probably best to check that first.

Unless you are going to risk bringing in a holdall full.

limit is 800 cigs and 3kg of tobacco, I can bring more but may be questioned.

So what is the plan then Tony?
Just bring in a shedload and hope you don't get stopped?

gov.uk/duty-free-goods/arrivals-from-eu-countries

from the UK gov website

Although there are no limits to the alcohol and tobacco you can bring in from EU countries, you're more likely to be asked questions if you have more than the amounts below.

Type of goods Amount
Cigarettes 800
Cigars 200
Cigarillos 400
Tobacco 1kg

I see
Why dont you give yourself a bit more time , then you could probably get the stuff cheaper.

I'd rather just get in and out this time, planning a trip to warsaw next year for a few days though, see the sites and chill with a few vodkas

By them at the airport shop, there's nowhere else (apart from a petrol station) within a 15-minute walk of the airport. There is a supermarket in Modlin but that's going to be a good half an hour (and the road to town lacks any kind of pavement and so pedestrians are forbidden from using it.

I've personally sent people buying 20+ cartons at a time (cartons, not packs).

chill with a few vodkas

If you want vodka, Lublin's a better bet, Warsaw is more about beer now.

Buying cigarettes, Where are they sold? Gdansk or Modlin Airport- Vogue Brand around 10 Boxes (2000 cigs)

Hi readers

I would like to take a day trip to Poland, mainly to get my cigarettes but wouldn't mind a wonder around too. Does anyone know where I can buy around 10 cartoons from, would Gdansk or Modlin airport be better? I smoke Vogue Click Menthol cigs, I know they are sold in Poland but are they stocked widely.

Any advice would be really appreciated. I smoke 20cigs a day and at £12+ a box in London, compared to £4 (am I right?) it is definitely worth the effort, if I know where to buy from.

Thank you

You need to ask people who are doing this on industrial scale but what i do know is that there is a shortage of popular brands in airport shops at the moment - last week no Marlboro, camel or B&h when I travelled (not a single carton !)

Maybe a bit of panic buying before Brexit
