BIG LESSON (I visited and was threatened in Poland)

ABU HAMDAN
8 Jan 2012 #1
i visited poland, warsaw few months back, as one of my polish friend invited me to visit for business opportunities,
i am 31 male arab origen muslim, i met that polish when he came to our country for some business opportunities,
in short words in his stay/visit to my country i did what i could for him to help, he spent around one month here and at one stage he was out of money even for food so i helped him out, paid all his hotel dues and took him to my house for further stay, i given him all possible facilities at my home and in day time in office,

because of his pressure i came along with him to warsaw, when i came here he introduced me with so many people (mostly from business comunity) majority of people were used to beg (sorry to say) for some business orders from me rather than asking me that what i want? anyways that my native polish friend took money from me too as he said he will process all my company formation process (not very big amount of money he took) later i have been told to give 50,000. zloty for marketing purpose for the company (even company was not existing) and they were asking to start marketing immediately, i denied and did not given, after few days when i asked polish friend for the progress of process he started getting angry, one day early morning he came to my hotel room and asked for more money, i replied him to at least show me something (any paper of business/process/proposal or something) he threatend and said he could do so many things against me and my future business and that he has very long arms in poland,

well,, anyways same day i decided to reconsider my plans, i checked airline and booked next flight and informed him too that i am going back, i shouted him also for his selfishness, (what i did when he was in my country and wht he did when in his country) while i was going to airport, he said sorry and acted like guilty or something, when reached to airport he asked something and i was shocked, you know what he asked? HE ASKED FOR THE MONEY WHICH I HAD IN MY POCKET, HE KNEW THAT SOME THOUSAND OF ZLOTY I HAD IN POCKET, HE SAID THIS CURRENCY WILL NOT BE USE IN YOUR COUNTRY SO YOU SHOULD NOT KEEP AND GIVE IT TO ME, anyways i given him rest of my few thousand zloty,

my question to all of you, IS THIS THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE? ESPECIALLY TO WHOM WHO SHOWED KINDNESS, CARE WHILE YOU NEEDED?

ONE MORE THING, IN MY SHORT VISIT TO WARSAW, I MET ANOTHER POLISH GUY IN A COFFEE SHOP WHO WAS SO NICE TO ME AND GIVEN ME SOME TIPS AND ADVICES, I LIKED HIM AND WHEN I REACHED MY PLACE I CALLED HIM FOR HIS KINDNESS, STILL HE IS MY FRIEND.

whilst i do feel sorry that you have been taken advantage of, maybe you are just a bit too gullible? you gave this man your remaining zlotych and didnt think to change it back into your own currency?now you have a new friend you met in a coffee shop?sorry to say this, but they saw you coming from miles away. keep doing what you are doing and you will have many new friends and empty pockets.

but his family was really sweet,

my family are really sweet too, but if you are daft enough to give money away i will take it off you without a thought.

and if you'd like a bullshit false promise to go with it i will happily provide one.

wake up to the ways of the world you live in.

Assuming that the described story is true, next time try to finance some irresponsible Brit or French who came to your country for 'business opportunities' and 'ran out of money'. I guarantee you that this kind of 'businessman', regardless of nationality, will cheat you if you decide to visit him in his own country and involve money in this relationship. It is not that I am biased against British or French people - the thing is that you will find deceitful people all over the Europe, not only in Poland.

are you insane?

WELL,,
I AM SURE THAT GUY MUST BE READING THESE POSTS (I KNOW HE IS ON POLISH FORUM), I WOULD LIKE HIM TO POST HIS POINT OF VIEW THAT WHY HE DID? OR HE SHOULD COME UP HERE AND PROVE ME WRONG IN FRONT OF ALL OF YOU,,,,

OTHERWISE PEOPLE WHO'S READING ALL THESE POSTS WILL ASSUME THAT WHAT I HAVE SAID IS 100% TRUE, (WHICH IS 100% TRUE IN MY POINT OF VIEW)

MY AGE IS 31 AND HIS AGE IS 50,,,,,, I TREATED HIM LIKE SORT OF UNCLE OR ELDER GUY,,MEANS GIVEN HIM ALOT OF RESPECT, HE TAKEN ME WRONG, I COULD PUNCH HIM UP ALSO THERE IN WARSAW, BUT THESE ARE ALL SILLY THINGS,

I HAVE A FIRM, DOING BUSINESS DEALING WITH PEOPLE ON DAILY BASIS, BUT YOU KNOW IF YOU TRUSTS SOMEONE AND HE TURNED UO WITH SOMETHING ELSE THAN WHT TO DO,,,,,,

OVERALL I LIKE POLAND AND POLISH PEOPLE,

Do not lose faith in people. Just trust your instincts more, and remove yourself from bad company much sooner. There are good people, and then there is slime (see Wulkan's comment as an example of the latter).

WELL,I AM SURE THAT GUY MUST BE READING THESE POSTS (I KNOW HE IS ON POLISH FORUM)

I think what he did was wrong too, and if you believe in karma, I am sure he will get his karma, its not right to take

advantage of someone , especially since they invited you as a guest, then think they can just use your money like it
is theres, treat you badly then ask for more. you should pity this person, we all make mistakes, but knowingly treating
someone badly and taking from them this way is going to catch up to him eventually.

just remember that you came out the better person, even though he took from you, you still gave him something
and you didnt have to, hes a low life blood sucker that preys on people.. hopefully his karma happens before he
takes from someone elses pockets and leaves that persons family without food or something.

That should make this person feel really good that he is a loser...............

I am on your side, I dont like blood sucking losers.

I love this thread. Started by an unregistered user who posted his incredible stories about his naivety, it as garnered more responses than I would have believed , especially considering his use of CAPS.

Consider me cynical if you will, but I smell troll.

I wouldn't hand over any company money before doing a thorough risk assessment first and having some kind of legal contract drawn up. I would seek some sort of guarantee.
PeterWeg03
11 Jan 2012 #15
I did all of that. Shareholders agreement, specified number of shares, no dilution, closed ownership, employment contract. I still got compressively shafted over a decade.

Problem is if you go to a lawyer and he asks for $60k before he will look at the case you can have all the contracts and agreements you like but you cannot get it enforced. Even if you do, you destroy your own business and shareholding in the process.

There is a solution, however.

There is a solution, however.

The only solution is to deal with honest people.

It is the difference between Asians ad Europeans, as an asian you go on a forum to call him out and put shame on him, as a low life he has already crawled to you for money and you have given it to him, so he is just going back for a second pop, these type of leeches will suck you dry, I have met many Americans, who have similar traits, tall stories - no substance, they are parasites and have no honor, you will find them all over the world, not just Poland.

Yeah but they are much more common in Poland. This guy seems like a bit of a scam artist only that the OP seems to be one of his easier jobs. He really did blow his load early on this one, he could have taken you for plenty if he kept an eye on the bigger picture.

This is one of the reasons i support the Zeitgeist Movement, its not the individual thats at fault its the system.

Sorry, thats a stupid thing to say. Presenting yourself as honest, while using legal means to be dishonest, is easy. You should always work on the assumption that someone is dishonest and get a good lawyer (although if the lawyer, as in my case, turns out to be a crook and part of the scam it won't help much).

in whole of my story, which is true, and it happend in 1st quarter of 2011, this polish guy took money in from of me from one of his friend who had money exchange office somewhere near Galaria mall MOKOTOV (sorry for spelling). you know how he took money from that polish exchage guy? he told him that this arab guy is here for some business and he got alot of money but he dont have $ or Euro, instead of this currency he has his own country's currency so soon we will come to you with bulk amount (my country's currency) and than you can change into $ by giveing him half rate,,(like cheating) becouase he don't know and i am with you,

So that exchage guy given him some thousands of $ in fornt of me (i dont know polish language) this story later revealed to me by another polsih friend to whom i met later (i mentioned earlier) told me while he was there in same exchage with me for currency exchange (after few days) xchnge guy ask him this guy (me) was suppose to exchage big amount of currency? blaballalla bllaaa so story reveald to him that it was incorrect, exchange guy started shouting at polish friend (the one who cheated). later he offered us some wine and stuff,,anyways.

my point is here to tell you all that this guy not only cheated me but also to his fellow polish too, if i am dumb than what about that exchage guy who given him money in front of me to get advantge of my poor knowlege or access to various sources, anyways one day in coffee shop polish friend intrduced me with a person who acted like some sort of police officer (but he was not) asked me to become his partner in business and he shown me his photographs with high rank officials (as per his statment with duputy prime minister) and warsaw police chief and so on, (during my whole stay this is the guy who paid for my coffee bill). none of them (atleast i met 40 diffrent people from business comunity by polsih freind) i always paid my bill and their bills too, (my point is none of them y never offered 10 xloty coffee) it was strange for me,

Honest to GOD all above posts by me is as true as bieng a normal muslim i bilieve GOD.
my posts are not to hurt anyone, polish or any other person, its just reallity, and i feel ok, i have no problem to come over again to poland for holidays, or for business,

GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU,

Assuming your story is true which I doubt:

he spent around one month here and at one stage he was out of money even for food so i helped him out

Clue number 1: a business traveler who can't pay his own bills can't have a prospering business.
Clue number 2: a month really? At that point he's not simply down on his luck but a nuisance at best.

(mostly from business comunity) majority of people were used to beg (sorry to say) for some business orders from me rather than asking me that what i want?

Clue number 3: As a businessman you should know the difference between soliciting someone with a legit business contract (beneficial to both parties) and a scam artist. So where's that business community you speak of? Any of them in your field of business? Not interested is a proper answer to the rest, short sweet and professional.

later i have been told to give 50,000. zloty for marketing purpose

Clue number 4: Marketing what exactly? I thought you've said you did not make any deals?

i replied him to atleast show me something (any paper of business/process/proposal or something)

Finally a voice of reason on your part.

Sounds like the two of you discussed some kind of business deal but by the language used this just can't be legitimate. Lucky for you he didn't offer you a deal you couldn't refuse - what an amateur. On my own turf, I would have been more persuasive.

once he offered me something very sillyyyyyyyyyyy,, and that was to sleep with his brother's daughter

Tell all really. My understanding is that this sort of thing is part of your culture. W dupie byłeś, gówno widziałeś. Troll!

Assuming your story is true which I doubt:

This is so obvious it is a fake story , so unreal, that only a child would believe in it . Some of the posters including me think it is created by a troll.

Like a Polish farmer, it is nothing but bull. Why would someone, could be German person, take his time, to upset the thinking of all of us, we know better. Polish people are the best. In my visits to Poland, I find them to be most helping, and great people.

I highly appreciate your intentions of financial aid (I understand that you describe your financial status, to give me some hint that it is worth to meet you) , but I'm financially secure and thank you for your suggestions ,but I will not respond to your offer , apart from the fact that you're another or the same troll in this thread , lol.

No, you're wrong. Both the writing styles and the contents have nothing in common but the name.
