How much money do I need to have in my bank account at the time of applying for the students visa?

I would like to take an undergraduate course in business at any university/business school in Poland in the next academic year. I was told I need to pay the tuition for the first semester in case I get admitted in the university.

My question is, how much money do i need to have in my bank account at the time of applying for the student visa (I'm from Uganda) and what would be the best but cheap university for a business course?

You would need to be admitted to the Uni before they even consider a visa. You will need an address and pay for the course up-front for 3 years. If you think of getting into Poland pretending to be a student and then not attend Uni - it will not work. They will deport you. You have NO CHANCE of getting a job whilst studying and no chance of living in any decent accommodation.

This is not the way to go.

No, it's not true. The law has changed and foreign students no longer have to pay the full amount in advance.

Eddie, for information about visa requirements you should contact the Polish embassy in Kampala.

To choose a business degree just try googling. Most of the universities in Poland have some information in English on their websites though it's not always that detailed. Here's a useful link to get started:

However good and cheap, well that's always a problem. Poland is not as cheap as you might imagine and apart from tuition fees you have to support yourself, pay your living costs etc.

Full Tuition fee Payment is Mandatory to get Student Visa

Hi,

I have seen a post where a student got the visa with 1 semester tuition fee payment recently. So it is not mandatory to pay the full one year tuition fee?
