I just rented out my studio flat for 1700 pln/month plus bills, in Old Praga, on the other side of the river to the old town

Old town, Centrum, Mokotow, Ursynow are nice places with good transport

1700 is a little high, you can do better than that, or if you pay that you can at least have a better location (not that Old Praga is bad, just that for 1700 you could be in the very center of the city).

Be advised that if you go through a middle-man bureau / real-estate agency, you should be prepared to pay around one month's rent as a fee to the realtor, plus 22 % VAT on this. If you can find a trustworthy deal without a middleman, it could save you some money, but has its own risks.

Here is a useful site for Warsaw apartments / studios. If you do not speak Polish, you might want to know the word ,kawalerka' - this is a bachelor's pad / studio, which I think you are looking for: oferty.net/mieszkania,Warszawa

Good luck!

David,

If you are on a budget, look at Muranow district, it i very close to the old town and the transport is very good. A lot of student live in the area.

In a modern secured block, full mod cons and a 10 minute walk (or 2 tram stops) to Stary Miasto -well worth the money and I have never had any problems renting it out at this price.

That link is OK. Also try gumtree polska (warszawa. gumtree) - I can recommend this, and be sure to check the box for private advertisers only, to filter out the agents. But be aware that rental/real estate agents are bottom-feeders with very low ethical standards, and some adverts are placed by agents pretending not to be!

well, thanks for the useful advices! Seems, in a few months i will really move to Warsaw. I've never been there before and i'm really curious how will the life be there.. In the same time i'm also worried a bit considering i know nobody from the capital.. S:

about the muranow district you were talking about, is it in the center or a bit outside from the city? How is the security there? Are there block buildings in that part of the city or it's more modern?

thank you for the links and any other helps too for you all!!

Hello Everyone, I maybe moving to Poland soon. Any idea where I can find websites ( like the ones above) but in English? I don't really speak Polish. I am really on a tight budget.
