Renting apartment in Poland, only via landlord?

Hello,

I have lived in Poland for a few years and I am currently back in my home country for the next few years. A friend is considering to move to Poland and live there. My experience is that there are only private landlords in Poland, are there also companies that rent appartment, if so how this is called? I know that there are agencies, but those people always ask a rediciolous about of provision.

I hope somebody could tell me something about it, I'm really curious if there is a way to rent some appartment from a company instead of landlord.

Thanks!

Mica

Why would you want to rent from a company?

Because companies are in general more scrupulous about abiding by existing regulations

Polish name for it is "poĊ›rednictwo wynajmu" - rental agency.

It depends from a landlord (mostly an owner) if he needs to order such service, eg. he have no time to deal with it alone, and has multiple properties. So not all apartments for rent have assigned agents. There's no choice for you I'm afraid.
