How to rent a bedroom in Poland?

Hello, I wonder whats the norm when renting a bedroom in shared flat in poland. Do we have to pay 1 x deposit or 2 x deposit? Is worthwhile paying something extra for an agency instead of finding a room at gum tree and similar sites. Except gumtree do you suggest any other sites?

And finally, is 200 euro/month all bills inclusive an accepted amount for a bedroom in shared flat in places outside Krakow and Warsaw?

@sophiedeau

First of all, Wrocław is one of the more expensive cities in Poland, right up with there with Warsaw and Kraków. Don't expect to find deals in Wrocław.

A small room in a cheap student apartment will cost you about 500 to 700 PLN all inclusive. A larger room in a better apartment can well cost you about 900 PLN all inclusive.

Deposit is whatever the one who is renting the room says it is. Take it or leave it. Twice the monthly rent is not unreasonable.

The best way to find a good room at a good price is, of course, word of mouth, that is, by asking friends. Otherwise, you will have to rely on Gumtree or Stancja dla studenta.

If you don't speak Polish, you will probably not be able to find a room by yourself. You will need the assistance of a Polish speaker. All of the ads are in Polish, and make sense only to a person who is Polish or has live there for some time.

Thanks Peter, I think learning basic vocabulary covering renting out is essential. In case you know, what is really the difference between pokoje and stancje regarding a bedroom in shared home? Google translation is not helping me with this. I suspect only a Pole knows.

Thank you DominicB. It sounds very cheap for a bedroom. No other country in europe to my experience offers so cheap bedrooms with bills included under 200 euro.

I found many rooms for 130 euro or so and I cannot believe it at all, how can they cover the expenses of an extra person in a house with such low income for the rental of a bedroom....

stancja - od fasioned name, you may expect sharing a house with students, landlord 50+
pokoj - rather professionals or mixed or not specified who, you may expect everyone

slight difference at all

Yes. Owners payment to cooperative for flat is 70euro it is about 300zl pcm.

No I'm not renting it out. This is the market price in my neighborhood. 3 rooms x 500zl (114euro) = 1500zl (340euro)

You asked how is possible to offer a room for 130 euro?

Bedroom in Lodz

Hi everyone, I'm not quite sure where to post this so I'm sorry if I posted on the wrong place.
I am looking to share a house with someone in Lodz, I haven't been able to find any website and all I've found was flats to rent, which I'm not interested.

Does anyone know any good website or someone who has a room available?
I am moving to Lodz in two weeks, around the 27th
