House for rent - cost per month in Poland (Wroclaw). Affluent neighborhoods?

Let's pretend I want to move to Wroclaw.

How much would a good house cost (per month) to rent in a very nice part of town (no crime, no drugs, no muggings/etc)?

The house would have to have high speed internet, hot and cold running water, dishwasher/etc and be in very good shape to live in. Basically like any modern house you would find in the USA.

Are there such things as "affluent neighborhoods" in Poland as there are in America? Gated communities and such?

I already looked online and I found some really good deals....but I have no idea if they are in safe/upscale neighborhoods.

Just looking to surround myself with people who have good jobs....and perhaps ingratiate myself with politicians and the sort.

The most wanted neighborhoods are the most expensive. So simply look for houses located in "red" neighborhoods.

@Monitor, I'm not sure that map is correct. I would say Biskupin is more expensive than for example Krzyki. And Ksieze Wielki the same price as Biskupin??! Whaaat? Perhaps the size of apartments and houses skews the price per square metre, but there's no way Biskupin is the same price as KW when comparing like for like.

Hey guys, dumb question....when you say "zł" is that the same as saying "pln".

So will $1,200/mo. USD be enough for a good neighborhood?

Yes, but it depends what you want to rent there and what's current exchange PLN/USD.

If you are budgeting $1200/month just for housing in Wroclaw, you should be ok. Not sure if it will be high-end, but certainly comfortable and safe. I lived there for 1 year in a company paid apartment, and to be honest, I never felt 'unsafe'. I guess there are places you could go at certain times of the night that might not be safe, but that is your choice.
