So I was born in Poland and at the age of 7 my family and I moved to Canada, now I'm 25 and I'd like to buy a summer/2nd home in Płock or maybe Warszawa. Is there going to be a problem with the fact that I've been gone for so long? Am I going to be drafted to the army if I decide to stay for a year or two? Also what are some of the better sites for real estate in Poland?

The area outside of Krakow is really becoming a hotbed for foreign professionals looking to get twenty times the house they could get for the same price in the states.

no, you won't be drafted.

Is this for your future use or more of an income property? People don't move to Plock--they leave it. I think it all depends on your budget.

Choose Warszawa, it is bigger and better to live, but also more expensive.

From Warszawa to Płock is 109 km. So if You have a car, it is not a problem to move from 1 city to another.
