Bill to support Swiss currency mortgage in Poland

Hi, we are in negative equity like many in Poland and read that there was a bill being pushed by law makers to support people who borrowed in a foreign currency. Does anyone have any news of what is happening or is able to suggest a good website to follow this please? So far I have read only one article on Bloomberg and one on Yahoo. Is there any websites or agencies offer ring advice or updates? Thanks in advance.

I know this was one of the President's election promises but he walked it back fairly soon after the election and in any case he is not the person who makes the laws.

This probably won't happen for the simple reason that some of the most affected banks are owned by the government and run by government loyalists. I don't think the opposition will be very interested in taking up this issue either.

Some of those people who said repeatedly and often at the time that others were daft not to get a mortgage in Swiss Francs and dafter when they suggested it might not be a great idea to get a mortgage in a foreign currency you don't have or earn and are now eating catfood to keep up with their payments might be able to advise you.

It was just a false election promise. Those of us voters who weren't so gullible/greedy would have a lot to say about using our tax zlotych to bail out those who were without getting our own (normal zloty) mortgages subsidised too.
