How many stories does the house have?
And when was the drawing made, which year?
It should be in metres.

It should be in metres.

Or centimetres.

1420 cm = 46.59 feet

1 cm = 0.0328084 feet

Could be 14mtrs 20cm. Would seem about right for the front or rear elevation of a house.

definitely metric. are there lines to indicate the distance? most plans today measure the distance in centimetres.

check the measurements against something known on the plan... like a door.

a single doorway might be three feet wide. it won't be three metres.

Real designers/engineers shouldn't be using centimetres; it's metres or millimetres. But then again, Poles sell ham in decagrams, so it could well be centimetres...

a single door is either 800 cm or 900 cm depending on the age of the house- so if you see that - use it as a reference point.

Sounds a bit big. If it was 800mm or 900 mm I would agree with you.

Is that the hight of the door? Crap - this door must be either for a midgets house or tree house :)

no, a standard door is 80cm/800mm or 90 cm/900 mm.

height is about 200cm/2000mm.--some are more and less depending on the builder.

this doesn't include the casing.
