Hi - I'm a Polish mother of a 2.5 year old boy. I would like to meet with other Polish mums or dads (and their kids) so that the kids can learn some Polish from each other. Unfortunately there are no Polish nurseries or schools in Johannesburg (none that I know of) and "babcia" lives in Poland :-(

Hello Sally,

You should probably check witht the Polish Embassy in South Africa and there are many forums and sites for Poles in S.A.
Polish in Johannesburg - Polish Expats in Johannesburg
internations.org/johannesburg-expats/polish

And I was talking to a lady today who said there are forums abotu Polish people in S.A. online in gazetta wyborcza that she found very helpful.

Correction, one of the forums is about Polish people travelling with kids and in it it talks about S.A.

Hello,
I am replying a bit late to you...hope you are still in Joburg? I am second generation Polish (my mother is Polish). My Polish is ok and I am always trying to improve it. I have just moved to Johannesburg from London, England. I have a 3 year old boy who although does not speak Polish has been listening to it a lot from his Babcia! I am living in Dainfern. It would be nice to meet up.

Catriona :)
