fight, fight, fight

It does appear to attract its fair share of pugilists.

The rapier has been replaced by the broadsword:)

I think that applies to a lot of us dt.

Maybe it's us changing but I doubt it. The undercurrent on here is being changed by a few blinkered zealots who are incapabale of coherent argument.

Anyway enough bleating. Who's organising the good old days PF meet up in Polska then? I'm overdue a return. Haven't been back for over 2 years.

Why don't we organize it. Simples. Warsaw or Krakow?

Davie said before summer. So Krakow it is. We need to get SeanB to join in. I will PM him then.

Excuse me but I falutapixablnof that crediantial portcondivex.

I could do that again but only on the condition that everyone gets an invite.

I believe an activity is the best way to get us in good form and relax.
It appears that paintballing was a bit too macho for our fairer sex
So maybe tie it in with the Jewish festival in Krakow, free concert and great music but that isn't until summer.
Or if it should be sooner, skiing/snowboarding.

Edit*

Why don't we organize it. Simples.#

I'll be back in a few hours.

My man's cooking on gas now;)

Although it might not have universal appeal to be fair.

May long weekend could be good: 1-3 of May. Davie cannot make it before that and I agree that there should be NO paintballing.
Nice food, good drinks and good company. I will notify other people

You are drunk, aren't you? lol

Agreed, food, drink atmosphere....what more do you need? Some dancing girls would be nice but I will skip them this time around.

I'm up for May. I recommend we do something, a concert is probably the easiest for all and if it's a free concert, well then that means nobody has an excuse :)

Events in Krakow 2013, nothing on there for the 1-3 May though.

Also here is a link to the 23rd Jewish festival 28,06 - 07,07 2013.

krakow's Jazz festival is also a great time to be here, with free concerts. July 1 - 31, 2013 Unconfirmed

I'm totally sober officer.

Sounds good, I'm up for anything as long as there is beer.....been over a year since I've stepped in a pub. Not because of a lack of drink though, mainly cos the pubs round here are a bit weegie like.

that is fine with me. However, this weekend is usually booked solid if I am not mistaken. Please confirm if I am right.

28,06 - 07,07 2013.

even more booked solid, so I am not really kin on that particular date, although I have always wanted to attend that festival.

krakow's Jazz festival is also a great time to be here, with free concerts.

sounds good to me since I am a jazz fan:D.

However, I will go with the majority:D

booked solid,

I doubt if it's booked solid five/six months in advance but I get your point, people may not want to book so far in advance as nobody really knows what the future holds.

I honestly don't know, I've only stayed in a hotel once in Krakow many many moons ago.

I would guess that the most popular is the Jewish festival, then the Jazz festival and least of all May 1-3 although I am told there are usually gigs on labour-day and it's off season enough to be easy enough to get a place to stay and warm enough to enjoy.

So let's start the bids for May the 1st :)

Let me get on the scratcher to a few Krk friends, see if they can reserve rooms for certain dates once we have decided.

Like I said before, I'm easy on dates but with my kind of work I do I need advance notice. Only certain people are qualified to work in my ward (challenging behavior - self harming, suicidal, arson, aggressive behavior and schizophrenic) so can only get holidays when someone on the other shift agrees to sign a "contract" to cover my days off. The joys of my job :D

So let's start the bids for May the 1st :)

I am in. What I was trying to say and failed is this: The Jewish fest will be booked and the prices will be high- I think. May is nice and I get some time off during that weekend and, I will have time to plan and find some nice place to stay. The last time I stayed in Krakow was off the Old Rynek, the price was pretty good too.

count me in

great. I will finally meet my master;)

Not because of a lack of drink though, mainly cos the pubs round here are a bit weegie like.

sounds like you need a break;)

SeanB: perhaps we can create a new thread, so we will get more replies? It looks like I will be the only woman, which is not a problem, but I am sure there are some new faces who would want to join in.
