"fake" PESEL nr.

Hi,

I know this may seem odd, but I have a dilemma.
I want to buy something from a Polish website by paying with a credit card. And the only way they allow me to do so is by using PayU (Kind of like PayPal, but in Poland)

So my problem is that they are asking for my PESEL nr. even though I live in Canada. My parents are polish and I have polish citizenship, but they have no clue what their PESEL nr. is. I was wondering if someone had a basic PESEL (an example) Because I dealt with that company before and they gave me a "fake" PESEL to use since I am a foreigner, but I forget the nr. they gave me.

Btw. have you tried a debit card, not the credit one?

I have tried both a credit and debit card, but it keeps telling me to put in my PESEL no. I know my parents date of birth , but can a PESEL be found on a Polish Passport?

Yes - I have it on the right side from the birth date. But not in all Polish passport you will find it.
PESEL was introduced in 1979, people who lived pernamently abroad and haven't any pesel before, got a new passport without it.
Pesel is also in Polish ID - dowód osobisty.

I am sorry but........ do you realize that a PESEL is an 11 digit number that you can simply make up? If you want to order something from a shop and they ask for your PESEL, they will hardly check if it is correct, right?
