Jews said they murdered Jesus. 'Let His blood be on us and our children' is what they were reported by the Evangelist as saying. And you can't argue with Scripture!

Unless you believe that the New Testament is bull**** put together by the Greeks and meant to demonize a competing religion.

Personally I believe if Jews believed in proselytizing, and outnumbered Christians.

right now instead of the saying: Jews killed Jesus, the most widespread saying would be:

Idol worshiping Christians betrayed God!

And you can't argue with Scripture!

Yes you can!

And unless you've given all your belongings away I would suggest that your very lifestyle is an argument with 'scripture'.

You carry on believing what your book of fairytales tells you, the rest of us will believe science and history.

Richard Dawkins has now agree he is not a atheist and has always been an agnostic.

It's ironic when someone makes fun a person with faith and says they claim something they have no proof of, when they do they same. You have no proof in your disbeliefs of God and you have no proof that the Bible is full of fairy tales and yet you state it like it is a certainty when it is not.

To be honest to call yourself an agnostic is the most honest you can be, whether you are a believer or a non believer. You can lean more to one view, be an agnostic who thinks there is a God or be an agnostic who think there being a God is very unlikely, but an agnostic, i.e. someone who does not know, is what you really are, if you admit it or not.

And here is my opinion about this thread:
It's sad that the statistics are dropping but, thankfully only a little. Perhaps the clergy will get a grip of themselves and fix things with these statistics coming out.

Of course, anti-Semitism is a sin, but JPII did not expurgate that passage from the Bible, Other gospels tell how after the Crucifixion the Apostles (who themselves were Jews) 'ukrywali się przed Żydami' (hid form the Jews). That's right there in balck and white for everyone to see, and that is not is not anti-Semitism (except to the PC-creeps).

It's all man made. I'm sure there are plenty of religious people that have invented lots of "gadgets" that do more harm than good, starting with the guillotine. This is a stupid conversation.

Christian bible isn't exactly an accurate science. The greeks threw out more stuff then they put into the bible. They demonized the Jews because it was a competing religion. What about the Jews that protected and hid Jesus?! You know the people in the Last Supper picture? Only a couple of people at the Hierarchy of the temple would have wanted him gone. Most Jews wouldn't care less, except for the 200 or so Jews who followed him. But if we are talking about "things you cann't deny" how about the irrefutable proof in the old testament that excluded Jesus as a possible Messiah on every count that is supposed identify the Messiah:

Judge for yourself: Did Jesus fulfill ALL these criteria?

The Jewish tradition of "The Messiah" has its foundation in numerous biblical references, and understands "The Messiah" to be a human being - without any overtone of deity or divinity - who will bring about certain changes in the world and fulfill certain criteria before he can be acknowledged as "The Messiah".

First of all, he must be Jewish - "...you may appoint a king over you, whom the L-rd your G-d shall choose: one from among your brethren shall you set as king over you." (Deuteronomy 17:15)

He must be a member of the tribe of Judah - "The staff shall not depart from Judah, nor the sceptre from between his feet..." (Genesis 49:10)

To be a member of the tribe of Judah, the person must have a biological father who is a member of the tribe of Judah.

He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon, his son - "And when your days (David) are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall issue from your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will make firm the throne of his kingdom forever..." (2 Samuel 7:12 - 13)

The genealogy of the New Testament is inconsistent. While it gives two accounts of the genealogy of Joseph, it states clearly that he is not the biological father of Jesus. One of the genealogies is through Nathan and not Solomon altogether!

He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel -"And he shall set up a banner for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." (Isaiah 11:12)

Are all Jews living in Israel? Have all Jews EVER lived in Israel since the time of Jesus?

He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem - "...and I will set my sanctuary in their midst forever and my tabernacle shall be with them.." (Ezekiel 37:26 - 27)

At last check, there is NO Temple in Jerusalem. And worse, it was shortly after Jesus died that the Temple was DESTROYED! Just the opposite of this prophecy!

He will rule at a time of world-wide peace - "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4:3)askyourself...

Have you seen a newspaper lately? Are we living in a state of complete world peace? Has there ever been peace since the time of Jesus?

He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments - "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow My ordinances and be careful to observe My statutes." (Ezekiel 37:24)

The Torah is the Jewish guide to life, and its commandments are the ones referred to here. Do all Jews observe all the commandments? Christianity, in fact, often discourages observance of the commandments in Torah, in complete opposition to this prophecy.

He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d - "And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says the L-rd" (Isaiah 66:23)

there are still millions if not billions of people in the world today who adhere to paganistic and polytheistic religions. It is clear that we have not yet seen this period of human history unfold.

All of these criteria are best stated in the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37 verses 24-28:

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. they shall also follow My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Yaakov my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt and they shall dwell there, they and their children, and their children's children forever; and my servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, which I will give them; and I will multiply them and I will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. And my tabernacle shall be with them: and I will be their G-d and they will be my people. Then the nations shall know that I am the L-rd who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary will be in the midst of them forevermore.

If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be "The Messiah." A careful analysis of these criteria shows us that to date, no one has fulfilled every condition.

Certainly NOT Jesus.

The Greek put together "Bible" is a False Doctrine!

Oh you mean that handful of, what was there, 11 of them?

Only a couple of people at the Hierarchy of the temple would have wanted him gone

This is just plain wrong. The Jews did not want to kill him themselves as it was wrong for them to kill him. They wanted it to be done by someone else. When asked if he should be released they shouted to crucify him. There was a big crowd of them, not a couple of people in the Hierarchy. Trying to say now, the Jews had no problems with him, it was just a couple of psychos who wanted to see him tortured and crucified is just trying to pass the buck now.

And jon357, so far you and Nikidewbear seem to be the ones including harry that most people in this forum seem to argue and hate with the most

See, its Harry the psycho who is on the number one hate list here for years:)
Nikidewbear is inconsequential newcomer.
jon357 is a friend of Harry and hold few controversial views of his own but is not hated - I presume.

Trying to say now, the Jews had no problems with him, it was just a couple of psychos who wanted to see him tortured and crucified is just trying to pass the buck now.

You obviosly do not know history too well. ever heard of Sicarii? That's latin for dager-men. It was a group of assasins during Jesuses time who were more then willing to kill Romans and Jews who cooperated with the Romans, so if Jesus was seen as anti Jewish influence, I'm sure he wouldn't have made it to the cross! You forget, that in our traditions, there is no negative stigma attached to making money. Being a mercenary isn't seen as bad. I spent most of my life as a hired gun. Hebrews were mercenaries for the Romans, especially Malta. I think that's where the "Jews will do anything for money originates". ;-)

And really, like Ironside said... how many Jews can that square hold. But I do not really believe anything found in the New Testament. It's a book of lies meant to demonize the competing religion, put together by a 100 or so people and overseen by an Idol worshiping emperor! The last part is the only historicaly accurate part about the bible.

In reality, most of us view Jesus as a Rabbi, and everything he said is just regular Judaism, that's why Jews are not anti Jesus, we tend to be anti Christianity because the Greeks screwd it up and turned it into their own idol worshiping, demigod faith with father, son, holy ghost, the devil, and virgin marry. The person who turned all of it that way is Emperor Augustus, because he was an idol worshiper and wanted Christianity to resemble something he more or less understood. I have come across writing where John the Babtist said that Jesus said that he was the son of god, just as we all are. That's the reason we never accepted Christianity... because we believe we are all children of god, just a lot of his Children are sinners, and betrayed God with false doctrines. Hence why your faith is falling out of grace. I do not believe there will be many christians in a 100 years or so. The truth always comes out! PS. we are seeing a large number of converts to the Jewish faith, mainly cumming from Baptist sects. Walk with Jesus, stop sinning, accept your Father, reject all idols!!!

genecps 7 | 131

p3undone, neither John nor Jesus is relevant as a significant force in my life, so I have never studies them. It's the equivalent of studying the The Muppets. Sorry homeboy, I'm the wrong guy to ask those types of questions. I spent most of my time telling people not to waste their time on studying the Greek Book of Fiction.

If you wanna study something that's not Jewish but has complete relevance, Buddhists and Hindus have lots of good works, especially ones dealing with Astrology and numerology.

PS. I'm a proselytizer. But I think this thread is bull-crap. I knew it would turn to Jews killed Jews and me saying that it's a Greek invention to give child molester and rapists absolution. I honestly think that this whole thread should be put out of it's misery.

If we knew what the "real" truth is, religion would no longer be a believe, it would be a fact!

I've met a lot of religious people who were garbage as human beings.

So I tell people this, just be good, and you won't go wrong.

I never suggested as to what I do or do not believe,There is a lot of wisdom in the statement you made about if we knew the real truth;I

couldn't agree with you more.I was asking the question out of curiosity, not from a need to understand belief or religion.

I wasn't questioning your reasoning. I was just trying to say from my heart what I felt. And the real truth is- I believe in God, but I do not know if he really exists.

My philosophy is this: question everything!

I grew up with a ardent atheist dad who thought all religious people should be taken out and shot. lol

But then again, his answer for everything was to "take them out and shoot them". hehe

The fundamentalist Prod settler in the north of Ireland called the native(Catholic) Irish worshipers of the antichrist. "no surrender to catholic,no surrender to the devil"

People that are not willing to group Catholicism in with Christianity are unfortunately very widespread in the U.S.A.

Yeah, it's absolute madness and a politically driven idea, nothing to do with interpretation of scripture. These same nuts deny everything that is rational. It wouldn't surprise me to discover that the rapture brigade would like to bring back ducking ponds.

Creationist stuff everywhere is frightening, everything from theme parks to the denial of climate change and all points inbetween. The strange hybrid that the Neocon fundamental Protestants and the need for Armageddon has thrown up is a particular case in point.

But I do not really believe anything found in the New Testament.

But you believe what is found in the old one? Interesting. I wonder how you make your judgement about it. I wonder if there is any bias involved in this. Obviously I expect you to claim that there is not but to claim that one part of the Bible [the Jewish part] is fine but the Christian part is false just reeks of favouritism.

Could you explain it to me once more. Who is Jesus to a Jew, why was he crucified and who by exactly?

"no surrender to catholic,no surrender to the devil"

I think here in the US Catholic Church is the "Satan Church".

This is primarily because of all the child molestation cases, which seem to be almost a rule rather then the exception.

Oh come on genecps. Some of your posts are very much unlike your other posts. Some have a lot of detail in them and seem to be based on some sources while others are very anti Catholic agenda type. To say that is is a rule rather than an exception is madness. Oh what if some pedophiles are doctors, would you say that it is a normality that doctors are pedophiles? What if lawyers are pedophiles? Again would you generalise. Oh no but some of the Catholic priests were found to be pedo's and suddenly Catholicism is nothing but pedo's. It's an argument so stupid I don't even know where to being explaining just how flawed it is. There is just so much wrong with it. I prefer Catholicism than a Christian religion run in America by some average dude with a family who has made up his own Church and now wants to feel important.
